Starting a thread for applicants in 2021 year.

Some schools allow retakes!! But some like FCC don’t ? so it’s a risk retaking

I have 1 take left for the TEAS so I am saving it because I heard a new version of the TEAS should be coming out soon. Merced is even more strict only allowing 1 try at the TEAS.

How will you make yourself a more desirable applicant for next application cycle? I’ve decided I’ll retake English (got a B) and get a CNA certification.

I was told I couldn’t retake any of my C’s and I’m working on getting my CNA

Yes I believe Merced and a few others allow it. Congrats on getting your CNA!

I got a 84 and basically was told I achieved a majority of the points with that, I also have a 3.5 Prerequisite GPA, which helps, but Lady Luck has never smiled at me, I don’t gamble, play lotto, enter contests, etc. for a reason.

Me too. I never won lottery luck.

From what I was told your 2 retakes reset when a new version comes out.

When I had my appointments with the nursing counselor she told me 2 times lifetime. And that would make sense to reset after a new test.

Interesting because a nursing counselor at an information session said that if a person was to fail the 2 chances and be unable to apply, they are able to try again when the new version comes out. 
 

Going to guess like every school the information going around is not consistent. I have 131 units taken at Fresno State due to misinformation from counselors. I believe at this info session -------------------- wasn’t the presenter and my meeting with a nursing counselor when I started to pursue in 2019 wasn’t with her either. It was with someone I believe isn’t there any longer. Only info I found consistent being post baccalaureate is I don’t need PE.

I’ve gotten different information from the nursing counselors at city ??‍♀️. I like knowing that’s possible though because I was saving my 2nd attempt just in case.

Same, so far I’ve just learned that likely what ---------------------- says is probably right because I think she is the main counselor. Were you told by her you only get 2 attempts lifetime on the TEAS?
