You’re fortunate to have a decent job! I’m a certificated substitute teacher (when schools are open) and on welfare. A combo of bad choices and desire to stay home w/kids while they are young. Fortunately with Covid, major sciences are offered online so it has given me the chance to finish prereqs and take more science w/lab courses.

I actually got it last year during COVID, I was a broke college student before. I have no classes to take so I’ve been working full time waiting to get accepted.  Have no desire for kids, marriage, etc. been living with family.

The biggest issue is my job is located in OC and moving there means I can no longer save heaps of money. Lucky the company is very COVID cautious and we all work from home and haven’t been forced to relocate.

How long is the actual BSN program at Fresno State once you're accepted?

5 semesters, one more than Fresno City, issue is the GE requirements are a lot more at State than City so either complete those before application or have to take them coinciding with nursing classes.

Got my bachelors at State, so I have no GE, and would only need the nursing classes.

In all fairness, I'd only have to do a Summer and fall semester at fresno city to get the rest of my requirements I think. I'm at 56 transferrable credits now, but I need philosophy, soc 1B, probably another communication (I took comm 2?), and stats. Glad to hear I have a good back up plan. For some reason I had it stuck in my head that the nursing program alone was 4 years.

Have your guys application status changed yet? because mine still shows nothing next to Application status and I’ve talked to a few of my friends and they said there’s changed to complete.

Not yet, but it will be awhile.

Complete?

From what I understand, I think we're waiting for the evaluation status to say eligible/ineligible. Application status is supposed to change after the lottery.

Yes, the complete doesn’t really mean anything last year it did that before the close of the application period. And if eligible a new tab will appear that says lottery status.

Nope Fresno State is a “4 year college” most programs are 2 years. The BFA program I was in was 2 years, but it took me 6 years total to graduate because I went from a bio major to an art major.

I applied for the nursing program at Fresno State as well as Fresno City recently. Comm 2 is accepted for transferring to State as well as the nursing program. I have talked to counselors at State to double and triple check.

2, 7 and 8 are accepted. I took 7 (at Fresno state), FCC doesn’t like it and last year said I’d have to retake communications, but I’m going to try and argue it.
