Starting a thread for applicants in 2021 year.

I applied to Fresno City Nursing Program in 2018, 2019, 2020 and now this is my FOURTH time applying ?My GPA is 2.8, I got a 82.7% on my TEAS and I was eligible every year. Each year I waited with so much anxiety and anticipation and when I wasn’t accepted it broke my heart. I cried and then found other things to do while I wait.... I became a volunteer at a hospital, then worked at that hospital, helped my son and my family. Some people get in their first try and some people don’t. But if this is your dream, hang onto it... it will happen when it suppose to for all of us?
How old are you? Have you applied to any schools other than FCC? Gotten on LVN waitlist in Madera? No way in 4 years someone should not be in something. The LVN waitlist at Madera is 3 years long....

I have always wanted to go to FCC Nursing program because my momma graduated from FCC and my dream is to do the same? To have that be part of my story on this journey, in space, on “the pale blue dot” ? Keep pushing forward on your journey and you WILL get to where it is you want to be❤️ Rooting for all of us!

Oh I see! Congrats for keeping the Faith ? I thought surely if someone applied for all the allied health programs at FCC, they’d get in! I applied to respiratory care and radiology and next year will add dental hygiene to the list. I just want to start SOMETHING ASAP. Best of luck to you dear!!
Mine hasn’t changed and the application status is still blank. Last year it took up until a couple weeks for the status to change... it’s quite annoying. I get there’s 1200 applicants but many are reapplicants and what did they do for a month while applications came in?
Personally can only do Fresno City or Fresno State (If I can somehow get in with my *** GPA) because I have family there and it’s affordable. I’m also post baccalaureate and have a decent job and feel like quitting my job for LVN would be going backwards.

You’re fortunate to have a decent job! I’m a certificated substitute teacher (when schools are open) and on welfare. A combo of bad choices and desire to stay home w/kids while they are young. Fortunately with Covid, major sciences are offered online so it has given me the chance to finish prereqs and take more science w/lab courses.
I wish I had as many options for schools as others. I cant relocate to another city, so I'm limited to what I can do in Fresno. It's really unfortunate because I have a 4.0 GPA and got a 93% on the TEAS, and I have the same chance as anyone else in the lottery? I've considered National University Accelerated BSN, but it's pretty expensive.

I'm in about the same spot as you! 4.0 and 92 on the TEAS...and National is so costly that I don't want to look at it as a second option just yet. I'm hoping for the best with FCC, but also trying to get a plan together if I'm not accepted. Maybe CNA, MA, or LVN school.

Why not Fresno State with those stats you should get in fast

It's definitely an option, I'm just trying to get going as fast as possible to get my family out of the area we live in (west side is getting a little rough these days). Seeing people applying to FCC for 3 or 4 years in a row might be enough to talk me into it though. I still need a good amount of prerequisites for their program.

Almost 100% guarantee you’d get into Fresno State, you have perfect stats. Both you and NettleCarrier
