Freshman @ Cochran School of Nursing

Hi,

Are there any incoming freshmen at Cochran School of Nursing this Fall? If so, I was wondering if you've ordered your uniform yet. If so, how different is it from the regular white pair of scrubs? I know I still have to order the apron but since I already have white scrubs, I was wondering if I can just use those...also, is it necessary to purchase ALL the books on the list they gave us???

Hi,

I'm thinking of applying to Cochran for the Saturday program, how do you guys like it so far.....are the clinicals mostly scheduled for Saturday nights or during week days? Thanks!!

For the Saturday program the clinicals are in the evening in the city.

Wsmith16.......thanks for responding. I'm thinking of applying to this Saturday program as I need to continue working during the week so this seems like a great option to me....on the website they mention some clinicals during the week as needed so I was just wondering how often during the week I would need to take time off from work to attend clinicals. Have any of you guys in the Saturday program had to take clinicals during the week yet? and if so, how often?

Also, how do you guys like the Saturday program? I would have to travel from Connecticut to attend this program.

I was not in the Saturday program I was in the day program. But I know people who have done or are currently in the program. I wish I had done teh Saturday program instead.

Lecture takes place all day Saturday. And the clinicals are twice a week in NYC. My friend who just completed the Saturday program lived in Conn. & he commuted as well. It wasn't a problem for him.
