Freshman @ Cochran School of Nursing
Wsmith16.......thanks for responding. I'm thinking of applying to this Saturday program as I need to continue working during the week so this seems like a great option to me....on the website they mention some clinicals during the week as needed so I was just wondering how often during the week I would need to take time off from work to attend clinicals. Have any of you guys in the Saturday program had to take clinicals during the week yet? and if so, how often? Also, how do you guys like the Saturday program? I would have to travel from Connecticut to attend this program. THANKS!

Got at C+ in A&PI.... what would YOU do?
Hello everyone........I ended up with a C+ as a final grade in A&P1.......even though a C+ or better is required to enter my choice of nursing school, I kind of feel like I should take it over.....what would you do?

is the Nervous System for A&P1 really that hard to learn?
The nervous system was much harder than muscles and bones! I enjoyed learning about muscles and bones waaaaay more than learning about the nervous system.

I need to hear from single moms, like me...
Hello everyone: Im a single mom also who has always had nursing as a career in the back of my mind. I have been a legal secretary for 8 years but its really time for me to do something with my life that Im happy about. I have a 3 year old son and Im really nervous about if I'll be able to complete nursing school. Ive been thinking about getting a job as a secretary in a medical setting just to get some type of medical experience. I want to attend school full time but not sure if its possible since I have to provide for me and my son and then I think about having a daycare provider for my son while I am at school AND while I'm at work, it sounds like a lot of time away from my son. I really want to get into this field - but not sure if there will EVER be a perfect time to do so expecially when you are a parent. Any advice?
