French nurse is taking Nclex in 5 days...

Does anybody is a international nurse and pass the Nclex? I studied for 1 year now, at home with online ressources and I'm about to take the test and I'm so scared. I'm still learning every day. Sure, English is not my mother's tongue but I have a 15 years' experience as an OR nurse in France!

Hope God will give me the opportunity to do my loving jog, here, in US.;)

Many International nurses have taken the exam, some pass first time and some don't.

All I can say is remember the NCLEX is aimed at new grads so when looking at the questions do not look at them as someone with experience but as someone just completed nursing school. Take a day off the day before you sit the exam and give your brain chance to rest

Good luck

Hello,

I am a french nurse and i just received my ATT to take the test in California...

Merci !

Elodie

Hello Elodie!

Fisrt of all congrats for the ATT!

I am just at the early stages of the process. Long story short: I live in TX but rules have changed (if a nurse has NOT practiced for more than 4 years, she has to start her education from the beginning) so I will have to try another state before endorsing my license back to TX...if I make it!)

I would really appreciate if you could give me some advice as to how you made it to have your course by course full description in French, certified translations done, which service you chose, how much they charged you and how long it took you pls?

Thank you very much for your help!

Just so you know member hasn't been back to the site since 2010

Hello ! I took the test saturday....i had to translate everything and i had to choose a certified translator for the cost of 1200 usd for all the documents. The documents had to come directly from my school to the board . And the board sent me back documents to be translated .
