so ive been going to school on and off since 01. i recently resigned from my job to attend school full time last semester. after years of hard labor in the harsh low pay work field i have came to the conclusion that in life there are only 2 roads, one working your a$$ off and building your rank, or two get an education.. both road is hard work, but i rather not break my back for some sucka so i wisely chose the second road and gave school another try or should i say school is giving me a another chance.
this time around im was totally serious about school taking eng, algebra, history, and art (full time).. im not the brightest star in the sky but i manage to get a 3.67gpa last semester adding to my all time gpa 2.22.. i know i have a long way to go to boost my gpa up..
my appointment date to pick classes for fall 06 is just around the corner ill be taking my first pre reqs course if i choose to. i have never taken any science class since high school and to tell you the truth i dont think i remember anything from hs at all (exept the fun times :angryfire) heres how my schedule for fall may look but im debating whether to take intro to bio or just start with anotomy. bio 100 is not part of the pre reqs it will effect pre reqs gpa. i dont want to waste my time taking bio 100 when i can take anatomy.
1.eng 100
2.bio 170 human anatomy + the lab part
3. psychology 160 human growth and development.
4. PE
im not to worried about #1 and 4 but more worried about 2and3 which will count torwards my pre req gpa... should i just jump into anatomy or take bio 100 first which is the intro part? i have however taken pysch 100 which is the intro part and manage to pass with a letter grade C this was back in 04 i can also say i dont remember much of it if any. please help i need to pick classes soon.

I personally dont take any classes that is not required. If you dont need bio take anatomy however bio may help you in anatomy however, I find anatomy to be another language anyway by itself. Hopefully you can make some sense out of this..lol

I would stick with your schedule you have. If you don't need bio100 don't take it. Like the pp said, anatomy is a language unto itself. I took A&PI last fall and A&PII this past spring and have NO previous science (I have a bachelor degree in mgt). It took alot of work but I managed a B in both classes. It is a very time consuming class. Really stay on top of all your classes, set a large amount of time for A&PI and you should do fine.
Good luck.

Ditto! I wouldn't take anything that wasen't required. However Bio. will help with alot of your different science classes. Bio. is a required pre-req at my school. I totally hear you on the whole HS thing. I just want to go back and slap myself and say "what are you thinking get your butt in gear, take the classes you need and oh take that little thing called the ACT too!" LOL

so i guess ill be taking anatomy and putting most my efforts into this class... what about psych. can i handle both anatomy and pysch at the same time???
Anatomy is alot of work (or at least it was when I took it 7yrs ago LOL). Psyc. was easy for me, and I'd feel confident taking it with anything, but everyone and every course is different. Is there a course outline online that you can read over to get a feel for it? I'm also in Psyc. for the fall so maybe we can help each other.
christin will you also be taking anatomy this fall? 3/4 of my schedule will be my pre reqs so yea i am nervous. guess i gotta really change my life around time to say good bye to the video gaming life and hello to the book warm life.
btw thanks folks for you have taken the monkey off my back for now... and now back to summer the life filled alcohol, video games, and green stuff if you know what i mean lol
