  1. Has anyone ever attended or applied for Aquinas College in their ASN nursing program? Please give me any information or knowlege you have about this college or program. Good or bad??
  2. Hello all, since I didn't get in at VSCC, I thought I would look around and research other avenues of nursing. Has anyone ever tried to get a question answered or information from TSU? I think dealing with these people are some of the worst experiences I have ever had with a school. Most schools want you to come to their campus, but every person I dealt with at TSU could care less. Every time I called, they wouldn't listen to what I needed and sounded too busy to help me, would pass me around to another person, tell me they don't know, they are not responsible for that. So I decided to quit calling and actually went to the campus on Friday. I went to the nursing department and got treated even ruder. I was looking for someone to help look at my transcripts and discuss what I would need to get in and see what other options they had. The secretary was too busy on a personal phone call to help so I just stood there, she finally turned her back to me. I then walked around until I found, I believe one of the nursing directors, and she too seem too busy to deal with me. She was busy reading the newspaper on-line and barely turned her chair around to discuss anything with me. I handed her my transcripts and started asking questions but I could tell she did not want to help. She gave me no more information than I already had. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't think I am going to waste my money on this school. By the way, I do plan to write the president of the university but if he is like the rest of his staff, it would be a waste of time!!
  3. Hello, all. Does anyone know any good programs here for obtaining your BSN when you already have a degree? Mine is Bach of Arts in Bus. Mgt. Thanks for any input.
  4. Well, I have a 3.8 gpa, all pre-requisites completed, all co-requisites except Microbology, did average on the NET and didn't get in. Anyone else heard if they got in yet? I would like to see what the stats are for people who have been accepted to see if I want to reapply next year.
  5. I am not sure that there is a minimum. From what I 'hear', they look at all the overall scores of the NET, GPA, class grades and probably put them in highest to lowest order and then pick the top ones. I have also heard that the more co-requisites you have would help too. I don't know how accurate this is. Good luck to you.
  6. So there is noone on here trying to get into the Vol State/TSU program? I have heard there are over 200 applicants for the 40 spots. . . . anyone???
  7. Hey haunted, I live in Hendersonville also. You will love it here, good school systems, beautiful small but growing city. Welcome to the neighborhood.
  8. Ok, I called Vol State. They will be sending the letters mid to late April. Another month of waiting. Anyone else waiting???
  9. Does anyone know when we will start hearing about who is accepted into the Vol State/TSU program?? Has anyone received theirs yet???
  10. Finished with an A in Chemistry and an A in Psychology. Gonna enjoy the break!!
  11. I just finished with Fundamental of Chemistry and loved it!! It included organic and inorganic . . . it covered the basics/intro of Chemistry.
  12. I am just getting so frustrated about how low I scored. I am smart and do so well in school and I don't feel this score does me justice. Ok honest . . . should I retake the NET??????
  13. Yes, I sent the school an email to see how they weight the NET. I am disappointed I just got average and might retake it to get a better score.
  14. I have a 3.8 GPA in school but do not do well on final/comprehensive tests. I think they should put more emphasis on your GPA over the NET because doing well on the NET does not translate to educational excellence.
  15. Hello all, I just took my NET yesterday and wanted to compare grades to those who have been accepted by nursing programs. I made the following: NET Composite Score: my score 65%; average is 64% and passing is 50% NET Percentage Rank: my score 52; average is 50 and passing is 17. Overall Comp. Math: my score 72%; average 69% and passing 52% Composite Reading: my score 58%; average 59% and passing 43% Testtaking Skills Level: 33: Instructional I am shocked that a rank of 17 is acceptable to get into nursing school. How did you guys do and what do the nursing schools look for in this information? TIA!!
