Frankford Hospital or Aria Health School of Nursing

Published

Hi I just took the TEAS for Frankford Hospital School of Nursing today and got an 81. I would've gotten around a 90 except I got a 50 on the science section. Is that really important? I'm appling for January 2010. I hear on your application checklist, they let you know what tier you're in, but I can't find it on mine! Can anyone else find what tier they are in? Also, has anyone gotten accepted yet? What is your GPA like or other credentials? I really want to know where I stand! I'm going insane waiting to hear back!!

I know what you mean. At least it's finally October!

Ummm.

My TEAS scores are:

Adjusted Individual Total Score: 72.0%

ATI Academic

Preparedness Level: Proficient

Mean - National: 63.3%

Mean - Program: 64.7%

Percentile Rank - National: 74

Percentile Rank - Program: 74

I took my Teas last year at BCC for a different nursing program... so not sure how these scores lie with Aria tho. How were your scores?

I went to Temple for my pre-reqs for 3years without graduating and now Im off praying, hoping and relying on getting into Aria's program to finally become an RN! :) For this semester I am out of school and looking for a part time job in the field. Are you also 21ish then? i feel as though a lot of people I've spoken to have graduated with other degrees or coming back to get be a RN or whatnot while I'm still trying to finish with this for the first time.

Oh, btw, my real name's Jenn :D

Omg! I went to bcc too!..In new jersey right?

I got a 70 on my teas exam...and I'm 21 too!!

How come you didn't do bcc's nursing program?..

Oh and when do decision letters get mailed?...ls it this week?

I personally was told that the letters would be sent around the first 2 weeks of October. and then with all the information from other's posts from this website, I've concluded that it shouldnt be TOO long.

Thanks awesome!!! I can't wait to find out were gna be classmates :)

I didn't go to BCC, but I took my TEAS test there because I previously wanted to get into St. Francis Medial Center SON. I would have too if i didnt get screwed over. I got letters after letters; the last one stating I would be contacted, for an interview. Each one implied I would be starting FALL 2011. After patiently waiting 2months, I called in and asked if I missed an email or call. The lady told me there was no more space and that it was their mistake, but I would have to wait until Fall 2012.

Well, eff that. Sigh. I really liked it there and was hopeful... but i need to get nursing school done and over ASAP! ive done three years of prereqs at Temple University in Philadelphia ( which is where i am from) but their nursing program changed into a 4year program during my 2nd year of college. I refused to start all over again. So I waited searched eventually had my heart set on St. Francis (i knew someone who went there)

When I found out I had nothing in my curriculum for Fall 2011, I freaked out and started my search all over. I found the only place where it wasn't too late to apply for a Jan 2012 admission: ARIA!

It helped to have a friend graduating from there as well. So i got my info together and here I am now. Desperate to get in!

haha, yeah, so that's my story. how about you? why not the nursing program in NJ? Are you from Jersey or Philly?

Okay, I'm from new jersey but moved to philly in febuary because its closer to my job. I had initially wanted to go to Thomas Jefferson but they have a waiting list and that's just to much waiting for me. I applied to area because its a January start date and I wanna get nursing school over with because my dream is to be a physicians assistant and I don't wanna take to long in.the ursing aspect of my career Arias program sounds great and there nclex pass rate is amazing!...

just my :twocents: but one doesn't usually go to school to be an RN if they want to be a PA....It takes WAY to LONG that way and its two different tracks....You'll see what I mean when your in it.....Maybe a NP or something.....Like I said just my :twocents:, but think about it before you waste your time

Yeah there are two tracks getting your BSN and making money while your going to school for you PA OR getting your bachelors in biology and not making any money in the meantime,,, the prequisites for your BSN are the exact same for most pa prograns....at least the ones I plan on applying for....I plan to do my rn... 2 years rn- BSN ...1 year top ...and my pa 2 years a total of 5 years...the same amount it would be if I did it the traditional biology track...and I can be making money in between ... And a np and pa are almost the same with few differences however in my opinion PAs have an overall better respect to them..
