  1. I am currently a student at a community college in my area and have been trying to get in to a nursing program for a bit now. I have all of the pre-reqs done for just about every school in the greater philadelphia area. I am about to start applying to schools again in the fall and I'm interested in Holy Family. Does anyone know if the accept transfer credits? A lot of schools in the area won't consider your prior credits and their plan is only designed so every student graduates in four years. I've been in college for three years now and have worked very hard for my grades and don't want to be forced to have to waste all of that. I want to move at a quick pace! Does anyone know anything about Holy Family or maybe even other schools that could work with me to help me graduate quicker?
  2. or know of anyone who was in tier 3 that got accepted?
  3. Did anyone here from tier 3 get accepted?
  4. i have no idea how many are in tier 1. has anyone been accepted yet?! if so, what tier were you in? this is killing me!!
  5. oh yeah and there was around 400 applicants
  6. ok if you're in tier 1 there is nothing to worry about, that means youve already been accepted. she said they are short staffed and if they can get someone hired, they will be able to accept 20 more people which would mean 60, but right now its only 40. so results were supposed to be posted yesterday but they weren't so im assuming that means they are sitll really trying to find that extra person for staff. like im sure they would love to have the extra thousands of dollars from those 20 students. aimee also told me there is about 30 people in tier 2, so im highly doubting any tier 3s will be getting in this semester. and yeah im pretty sure aimee said it will basically say accepted or denied.
  7. it went into tiers about 5 days ago.. im surprised your still in rap review. im not sure what that could mean
  8. Aimee said decisions will be posted by today, but definitely no later than tomorrow! I'm in tier 2, but Aimee said that doesn't even really mean that much because they're short staffed and they might not be able to accept more than 40 people. I'm scared to even look.. I'm just expecting the worse. Let me know how everyone does!
  9. oh nevermind, I just read everyone elses post about the rap review. Now all the sudden its saying they dont have my SAT scores. Dont they get mailed with your high school transcript?
  10. I just looked under the disposition on my checklist and it says "RAP Review" What does that mean?!
  11. Well with over a 3.0 gpa and such a good score on the TEAS, I don't think you'll have a problem getting in. I'm in a bad situation! I kind of didn't take college seriously up until last semester because I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. My GPA for my 1st three semsters was around a 2.5. Last semester I got a 3.5 and with those averaged together, it doesn't make much of a difference. Its so hard to bring your GPA up!! I've taken just about every course required for the program: all the psychs, sociology, english, math, etc. I told AImee most of this and I let her know how hard-working I've always been. I have two jobs, one at a health club in the daycare center, and I just recently got a full time nannying job. To those former graduates: What was all of your application materials like? Is this a really hard school to get into? And does anyone know how many students they accept for each class? I just checked the application checklist and still no TEAS posted or tier placement. I'm going insane!! I can't take it.
  12. Hi I just took the TEAS for Frankford Hospital School of Nursing today and got an 81. I would've gotten around a 90 except I got a 50 on the science section. Is that really important? I'm appling for January 2010. I hear on your application checklist, they let you know what tier you're in, but I can't find it on mine! Can anyone else find what tier they are in? Also, has anyone gotten accepted yet? What is your GPA like or other credentials? I really want to know where I stand! I'm going insane waiting to hear back!!
