Hey all, has anyone been enrolled in or completed a program with the above consulting company. They’re based out of Florida and seems to have the same blended online/ 1 weekend per month model as Med Life institute. I’ve yet to see anything online not reviews or comments. Please share if you’ve heard of them.

Last 2 comments hit the nail on the head! 100% mine and everyone else’s experience.

What is your experience? Would you care to share? There’s a few misguided people on this post that seem to think that this school is such a good school and were never even enrolled! Just going by what they “heard” and not the FACTS! I want to hear from people who actually experienced the horror show!

I’m in the program. The program description is correct, I will be done in a few months. Although I am currently waiting to see how this will impact our clinical rotations. Otherwise, the program is good, you have to study independently and it’s pretty fast paced. Let me know if you have any specific questions

How did it go for you?

The teachers are RN, NP, and MD that teach for essential.

Darp7288 comments on every quote about Essential. This person is not enrolled, either past or present... must be employed by the school.

There is NO teacher that is a MD there.

You said you did not go to the school, so how would you come to that conclusion? They’re RNs and one NP. That’s it. You were not enrolled in the school so how would you even know if it’s a scam or not?

I would not knock the program until I really looked into it that being said. I went to a program that was in a store front but it was licensed and accredited.

NOTE it was 'approved' with NO 'accreditation from a nursing body/. Big Difference

. I am a nurse who successfully completed a program  like this although it was not the same program as the school in question  The school I went to was a online program of which they gave you the materials and it was up to you to study the material in order for you to pass the exams.

I am glad for your clarification.....so it was self taught?

Maybe you need to do some more research on how to enroll with the school

I was on the admission committees of several diploma and college programs.  And the questions were harder than "why do you want to go here", "how much can you pay?" "Can you teach yourself".

Darp 7288..get your daughter to a school that teaches her whole being...with creativity., spirituality, and all the dimensions of our human mind. Since she is young, she may go farther than you with an MSN and DNP. Best wishes for your daughter,

First of all, LondonFlo the school went to was approved and accredited By ABHAS which grants accrediation to most institute schools and it is well known and nationally accepted and yes I did have to teach myself with the materials that was given. Once again I was successful and got my RN granted it was not from Foundpath but as I said before I have friends that went to foundpath and has been successful. Everyone is going to choose the path that works for them and you are always on here. Telling people what they should and should not do and quoting people it seems as if you have nothing better to do with your time.  However you were successful good for you but stop knocking people in there paths to become RNs.

It is not an accreditation body for nursing.

I am glad you perceive that I believe in quality,  NURSING accredited, programs that teach with professor provided didactic lectures  and objective planned clinical assignments.

What do you think about the mess for Carleen ASN graduates?

I have not read through the whole thread, but is there a dosage calculation exam for this school? How many attempts do you get?

Carleen is not even accredited for a  rinky tinky business I

.Her credentials  are what?   And you have to TEACH yourself

Let's talk about:

Quote

Carleen Health Institute of South Florida.  Applications for the Associate in Science in Nursing are no longer being accepted at the Lauderhill campus.

Chosen paths with out substantive knowledge of NCLEX pass rates, graduation rates (etc) are not a sound way to achieve your perspective  school.

Quote

Look at NCLEX passing rates for first time test takers, Look at graduation rates, , Look at the amount of debt each students leaves with. This may be your future....earning power, debt management

The Florida BON approves the programs  but then it is up the Board  of education. Passing scores for NCLEX are not sanctioned until the school is 10%  less that the national passing rate; Then after 3 years 0f these dismal scores, they  may have a review/disciplinary action including like "Carleen" that can't have their ASN program in Lauderhill anymore... Lauderhill Carleen ASN is terminated.  ....but the school has transisted to a BSN program...

My replies are always in response to your comments. Do you feel any remorse for recommending students to these "teach yourself" nursing programs for a pot load of money?

Not every situation can be taught in a textbook. Critical thinking can not be taught in a textbook. These ersatz self taught professional schools are no substitute for a real program. I spend my time encouraging nursing  students to get the best education possible.

LondonFlo I don't know anything about Carleen's Program. As for your comments about a real school all of my teachers were RN and NP's at the school I attended one of my teachers taught at Broward College Fulltime and the other was a Part-time teacher that taught at Nova. I would say that both of my teachers was very good although they gave alot of info for us to learn they did teach the material to us. So for your comment about sending people to schools that are not up to standards. Like I said to you before everyone makes there own mine up to where they want to go to school all I'm saying if it was not for some of these profit schools alot of us would not have made it. I consider the education I recieved was good. As for the fees for the programs I don't feel they are very expensive. Yes you can go to a community college which is much less but it may take you 4 to 6 years to finish the program depending on if you fail anything or not. For the last time people find there own way and do whatever works for them and there lifestyle for ne this was the best decision I could of ever made. No one has ever said to me oh my god why did you go to a school like that, I have always been able to get good jobs even before I got my BSN with no troubles. I respect your opinion on things and that's your right. But I do know alot of nurses that went the profit way and are living there best life as RN's and some are even NP's now and went to profit schools like these. So I hope I answered your question.
