WOW!?"$?!?!! $4000 ONLY???? Oh my Gawd, I better move to Kissimmee! lol. THANKS for the info!
I know you said private schools but.............
Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, Fennimore Wi
2, 4 month semesters, cost about $3300 plus books. Fully accredited so all your credits will transfer. Also if you want to go on to be an RN it's just two more 4 month semesters. They also have a part time program that takes 2 years for LPN or 4 years for RN for people who have to work full time. No waiting list.

Thanks PMFB-RN,
It doesn't have to be private schools, anything that will help newcomers or exhausted pre-students like myself. I've found out just looking for a good nursing school is a job in itself! Thanks for your contribution;)
I was initially looking for an LPN program and came across this one. Don't really know if you're looking for a RN program but just talked to someone at West Coast Univ. (3 locations) they have a Accelerated BSN 39 months give or take less is you have college credits already no wait list, tuition is 15K per semester classes start every 10 weeks. accredited etc. If your going to spend 40K on LPN why not try this. I am. Only downside I don't really care for is the schedule, you can't pick it they give you one 30 days prior to the start of class and she said its morning mid-day and evenings. I hear Kaplan has an LPN program as well, don't know the particulars though.
I want to add this info for the SF BAY AREA, from another poster on this site....NCP Vocational ($22,000), Gurnick Academy ($22,000), Unitek (almost $30,000) Western Career College ($41,000)
Do any of these other than Western offer student aid?
Unitek doesn't accept federal financial aid - you have to pay out of pocket or through private loans.
I'm worried that in the end, I'll end up paying the same amount if I went to Western.
I've looked into the adult education centers - very reasonable, around 10k - but they also depend upon private loans.

who is considering Western just because it's a mile away - major savings of time/money for that reason alone

Like a lot of you I am looking to find a good LVN program, I personally am looking for a private school because I don't want to wait 2-3 years just to get into a Community College.
I got really SICK and TIRED of calling these schools and got the used car salesman type routine. They won't even give you tuition info over the phone, unless you drive there and spend an hour listening to all their B.S (as if they're the only school you're considering!) I personally don't have time to drive to several schools just to get basic info. SO I thought it would save TIME and MONEY if we started a list of schools that we have contacted or been to and listed the VITAL info, so new people won't have to suffer the unnecessary used car salesman tactics.
Please list the state, city name of school and as much info as possible for other potential students!! THANKS!
