I absolutely loathe negative misconceptions.http://www.morganquitno.com/cit06pop.htm#25I live 12 minutes from the hospital district and my husband's office is nearby. Compared to 15 years ago - the area is vastly improved and I would not be scared to work there.

I had totally forgotten about this thread. It's now 2011 and Fort Worth's population is close to 750,000.

Mostly everyone was so friendly...strangers smiling, waving, and saying hello. Now, that's unheard of where I'm from! It was a pleasant culture shock for me. The downtown area, I believe Sundance Square, was very entertaining and safe! My friend and I was walking after midnight with our purses, and never got hassled or robbed. We felt very safe for the most part. But I can totally understand why people want to move to Fort Worth! I can't afford a house in a safe area in the city I currently live. But for about $100,000, I can buy a 3 bed 2 bath home in a relatively low-crime area. I recently applied to JPS Hospital, and is keeping my fingers crossed on a job offer! I really want to move to Fort Worth!
