Who else out there is preparing to apply to either Wesleyan or TCU for 2008? I'm just preparing to sit for my CCRN (I have my CNRN that Wesleyan will accept but not TCU) & take my GRE. I know the deadline for TCU is October & Wesleyan has moved theirs up to Dec. 1. Not much time left. Anyone out there received any tips for admission?:uhoh21:

woo hoo! I was accepted at TWU! The interview went great...the clinical questions were not as bad as I thought they were (PEEP--what does it do/happens with too much, blood gases, no medication questions for me, and other random questions)

I have an interview at TCU next wednesday, I think I will feel more relaxed at that one. Good luck to everyone!

Whoa! Did they offer u a position during the interview? I didn't think they were going to do that this year. That so great for you! Makes me feel shakey now......maybe I didn't do so hot.....:o Did they tell u where your clinicals will be?

Deeks310 - Congratulations! I'm with neurogeek in feeling a little worried. My interview didn't go as well as I would've liked, but I feel like I did okay. You must've really kicked butt in the interview! I interview at TCU on Friday 0800, and like neurogeek was feeling a little less pressured having been through TWU's. Good luck to everyone interviewing this week, hope to meet a few of you.

well....looks like most of us have at least one interview down. they asked me about this forum during my interview....how crazy!! i know another person that was accepted from their interview. they weren't given there clinical site. i was told today that they would have the class accepted by monday. i know i could have done better. i think i did fine with the clinical questions, but then i got a little anxious towards the end and it led to a whole snowball of questions on how i handle stress. who knows...i guess we just wait and see. also, another person i know got accepted without even having to interview. how come we all couldn't be this lucky. well....hope to hear good news from everyone when we get those letters.

Did they get accepted to TWU without interview? I find that so hard to believe. How is that possible? Who told u the class by Monday? TCU or TWU? Good luck!

oh yeah, TCU interview is over. Went very well. It was laid back, casual. I interviewed with the program director, another CRNA, and the JPS coordinator. They were super cool. Am not even going to try to guess if I'll get a spot so will just try to chill out for the next couple of weeks.

they both got accepted at TWU. the guy i work with that got accepted without an interview has a 3.9 gpa and did very well on the gre, he also has his ccrn. he said they told him they only accept 2-3 students without interviewing. about the class being accepted by monday, they told me that in my interview today at TWU. i heard that TCU will also have there class together by next week. i haven't heard that first hand though. who knows...guess it is back to stalking the mail man starting next week ;)

Wow! That guys stats was really, really impressive and I would have accepted him too! When do u interview at TCU? I'm sure you have done fine and will get in both places!

Got er done. TWU and TCU. I wasn't fortunate enough to get an acceptance at either interview. So now I sit and watch my mailbox just like many of us.

Hi everybody,

I just found this thread, and it has been so helpful. I'm also interviewing with TWU/TCU. My interview with TWU was last week, and it was such a relief to get that over!! I'm at TCU on Friday.

For those that interviewed at TCU, I was wondering if they asked any clinical questions, or was it all just get to know you? My letter said that you should expect to be there an hour-- were your interviews that long?

Thanks! and I wish you all the best as we begin the waiting process!
