Forsyth tech 2016 LPN Practical Nursing

Published

There isn't a thread yet for the students applying to the fall 2016 lpn program. I was just curious about everyone's experience so far. I take my teas test on November 17th and I currently have 31 points from related courses. Has anyone already taken their teas test? How many points do you have? Im shooting for at least a 70 on the teas but I heard it's very difficult so I'm stressing a lot. Looking forward to hearing from you guys! good luck.

so I retook the teas and made a 56 the second time, the first time I had a 58 glad they take the higher score. I am so anxious waiting on the letter my points are still only 83 since they take the higher score. I have been checking the mail every day even though I know the "letter" may not be here until March 20th. I just want to know, but I'm nervous at the same time. I am gonna be bummed if I don't get in. Trying to keep on the bright side though!:specs:

Chiming in a little late here, but I had 38 academic related points and scored 70 on the TEAS for a total of 108 points. I'm crossing my fingers and toes, and praying like a madwoman that I get in this fall. I'm also stalking the mail every day like some kind of crazed psychopath. Best of luck to you all. Hopefully the wait won't be too much longer...

When are the letters supposed to be sent?? I've been looking everywhere for a date and can't find one. I know by the end of March for sure.

I've read that letters come around the 20th-25th!

Ive read in posts from a year or two ago that your my tech link changes to lpn before u get the letter ?? Has any of yalls changed yet?

I don't think anything on mine has changed.. What does your curriculum say?

I just checked mine and it has LPN...hopefully this is a good sign, but I'm not going to get my hopes up until I see an acceptance letter. I'm just critical like that. :nailbiting: Anyone else seeing any changes at all?

I am currently in the Lpn program at Forsyth Main campus... I am halfway through second semester... I know how long the wait is for acceptance letters, it nearly drove me crazy wait and stalking the mail lady haha... I just wanted to share a little about the program for one ITS AMAZING, our instructors are all so kind and caring and they really are there to help you. I have heard a lot of horror stories about nursing school but Forsyth is nothing like the evil nursing stories you hear. They want you to succeed, dont get me wrong its has been tough but so worth it... I do know money wise you need to start saving because uniforms and lab kits has to be paid out of pocket and before school starts so if you have financial aid it will not cover these, you also have to have pen light, stethoscope, watch and solid black nursing shoes.. but once you have your acceptance letter you need to go to your local JOB LINK and they offer a lpn scholarship which will help pay for most of these things... also 1st semester is 4 days a week but on your 1 day off you will have plenty to do homework, study and clinical packet... hope this gives you a little insight

mine still says general occupational tech-practical nursing and thanks Terristrong for letting us know how nursing school is.

A girl I work with got her ADN acceptance letter yesterday so hopefully we'll get our letters soon! Although I've heard they send out the ADN letters first

Mine hasn't changed :/ gotta stay confident though

Thanks Terristrong! Any insight from those who have been there or are currently there is so helpful for those of us who are just beginning our journey. I personally appreciate it more than you know! Thanks for the JOBLINK scholarship tidbit- that is ALWAYS useful info. :)
