Anyone applying for Spring 2012 Gtech or Ftech adn program? The deadlines are fast approaching and I would like to compare points etc since this is the first semester to enter using the TEAS V. I have around 150 points at Ftch...anyone applying now have something similar? More? Less? My nerves are about to get the best of me if the deadline doesn't roll around soon!!
I'm new to allnurses. I was accepted into the Spring 2011 ADN program at Forsyth Tech, however I finished the first semester at 78.1 (you have to have an 80) so I wasn't able to go on. I'm reapplying for Spring 2012. I had 160 points the first time but now I only have 151 because I didn't do as well on the TEAS V as I did on the TEAS IV. I'm praying I get back in but it is a tough program so I'm afraid I may fail again. Good luck to everybody :)

Thanks for posting! It's nice to hear from someone that was accepted last year and see how many points you had in order to get in. I have about the same points as you did last year (162 I think) so I'm really hoping to get in. I think the TEAS V was difficult for everyone so don't stress about it. I think you're standing great with 151 points this year. Good luck!:)
SO is the 80 average something that they will spring on us once we get in @ FTCC? I heard GTCC was getting ready to go to the 7 point scale which would mean you have to keep a 77 to have a C average but 80 is a B on the current scale, so that means FTCC doesn't allow for the ol' "C= nurse" saying....that really freaks me out!
ooh don't say that... they just put all of their credit course on the 10 point scale.. that would be wrong to go back.
Yea, my sis-in-law is in the program now (2nd year) and has heard that rumor for a few months now for upcoming RN classes, although, like many "changes" it could take a while to implemement it.
I hope it's implemented after we graduate hahahahah... well I was already in freak out mode.. now i am more so.. i just called to see if I could find out how many actually applied, since they should have a more definate number by now... and the main one who was in charge of the ranking process is no longer there.. i'm like OMG I hope whoever is doing the ranking process now has it together.

I know, I think 42% is really low but I guess we will see. I never took version 4 of the TEAS so i dont really know what to compare it to but I did think it was rly hard, and the science section was dumb and pointless..lol,,my questions were anyways. I just wish the time would hurry up and get here I hate waiting!!
