Anyone applying for Spring 2012 Gtech or Ftech adn program? The deadlines are fast approaching and I would like to compare points etc since this is the first semester to enter using the TEAS V. I have around 150 points at Ftch...anyone applying now have something similar? More? Less? My nerves are about to get the best of me if the deadline doesn't roll around soon!!

A MAR review is basically just were you meet with someone and they make sure you have everything completed and let you know whats next in the process..etc. I didn't think FTCC required one though, I didn't do one and I got accepted into FTCC with 168 points so you should have got something with 179 points. Try double checking everything, I guess its possible for them to make mistakes.

Yeah...GTCC makes you come in & sit with an advisor to make sure you have the min. reqs. Then you get your TEAS pass. Once your done with your test, you meet with an advisor again to sign off on your points. (This is your chance to speak up if they missed any points....they can make mistakes!)

FTCC doesn't require you to meet for the MAR anymore. But you have to be careful with them too when it comes to your points. I was a transfer student...so they evaulated my transcripts for transfer credit. I had go to the Records office TWO different times to request them to RE-EVAULATE my transcripts because they left off HA&P I & II (which gives the most pts out of the pre-reqs) and also the computer class. I checked this by logging into my techlink, and then My Academic Profile. It gives you an evaluation of your program in progress. Hope this helps.

Loving life at this moment, GTCC made a big mistake. My Teas version 5 scores didn't get transfered correctly, and that it was their fault. So I'm in. And my seat is marked as taken....yay! I'm officially a GTCC nursing student again, but I will finish this time. So my acceptance letter will be mailed to me on Monday.

So the moral to my story for everyone is that if u think somethings not right and u think ur right, then question the HELL out of them.

Yay....I'm in. I can't wait for 12-7-11....all of us GTCC girls get to meet each other, so excited:)

who did you talk to about your score? so are you in and someone else out or have they just added you into the # of accepted students? i need to talk to someone too! they are so hard to get in contact with admissions so who did you speak with ?

Wat was ur # on alt list??? can u plzz tell me caz if u were # one that means i am next on line caz i am # 2 on alt list? plzzzzzzz tell me and also who did u talk to about ur test score???????

I was #4 alternate. I sent an email to **** then she sent it to **** to look into. He pulled my MAR sheet and thats when he realized I did pass the Teas 5.0 w a grade above 66. So if ur in question I sure would ask, they did it to me so they could have done the same thing to others. But he was real nice about it and even apologized for them messing it up.

Thanks so much for the info! i have abt 54 points and did pass my TEAS with 70,but still am on the alt list # 2:(i am so confused like how they chose their students if they only had 30 points and still got in???? i have straight A's and only one B(I even have an A for my A&P)!!

Angel mishi did u get what u needed, if not message me, but yes u to need to look into it, u should have a seat as well if u passed w a 70, I passed w a 67 and had 45 pts, i' d b on the phone Monday morning or send an email. Apparently it has happened to others not just me, they r really nice about it and they will fix it. I thought it wouldn't be as easy as it was for them to fix, but it was easy. Gotta look into it. Let us know how it goes.

i'm wondering if they are ranking differently since it's a new version of the TEAS and it's harder. You know giving more ranking towards the TEAS instead of the points for curriculum classes. Just a thought

on a different note.. if you are one Facebook i started a group for us and i put in some useful info from a fellow student nurse who was accepted last spring semester that you should take a look at.
