you can not forfeit it if you dont repeat the whole NLE. CGFNS have the names of june 2006 and special retakers.

i believe this can't be done in order for you to apply for a visascreen. it would have been better if you did not take the nursing board in the first place. you took it already so you have to pass it it in order for you to be given a visascreen. in your case, you failed the special retake, the only option left is for you to surrender you license and take the nursing board again. sorry to hear that.

You are welcome to surrender your nursing license, but doing that will not get you a Visa Screen Certificate for the US. There are specific rules that have been put into place and you cannot circumvent them.

And as mentioned above, they have a written record from the PRC for those that took the June 2006 exam, as well as those that retook the exam. You have no choice but to rewrite that exam and pass it.

Understand that you are new here, but we have been advising that the nurse rewrite the entire exam to have a better chance of passing it, just writing the two sections makes it harder to pass. What you want to do is not acceptable if you wish to work in the US. If that is your goal, then you need to follow the rules that are in place.

Best of luck on your upcoming exam.

i also failed the exams and theyre already processing my nclex application.. if your not planning to work in the Philippines, my idea is, just surrender your local license to the prc so you they can give you a visa screen,(w/o a license then there's nothing they will verify)..but im not really sure if it will work though.. either that or a couple of valiums will help you forget about it..(just kiddddddiiinnng);)

Not only will this not work but this may get the one doing it in trouble for fraud or mis-representation.

CGFNS has the names of all re-takers and they know who passed it and who failed it. Remember, the DOLE (not the PRC) will actually give a special certificate that you passed the special re-take and that is needed to be presented to CGFNS/ICHP to complete the visa screen certification.

Only way for a re-taker who failed the special retake of 3 and 5 is to waive the license and take the whole exam again for them to qualify for the visa screen certificate since the special re-take of test 3 and 5 is only a one-time deal.

Simply waiving the license w/o re-examination will not do. If this can be done, then CGFNS/ICHP and DOLE would not have mandated the special-retake in the first place. There will be no need for it and they would just simply advised the June 2006 batch to just waive the PRC license and re-apply for visa screen from the very beginning. Also, if there will be no difference if one fails or one passes the special re-take then why would there be one at all and why even take it.

..but i remember reading some threads about people who passed the june 06 boards and didnt registered, just to avoid any problems getting a visa screen..and those who registered are the ones who will have problems.. so if you forfeit your license youre not registered anymore(?) coz what i think is that without a license, there is no need to give them(prc) the ''verification of licenses'' part of the application..im sorry guys..im just looking for holes in this situation:uhoh3:.. thanks i appreciate your replies

its in the waiver once you failed the test 3 and 4 for the retaker then the next time you take the exam you have to take the WHOLE exam from test 1 to 5

If they passed the exam but didn't register, they will have no problems but if they already registered and have their license already then that would be a different thing.

Most of the June 2006 batch that took the special re-take registered and have their license so they are mandated to do the re-take (w/c they did) and therefore agreeing to the consequences of having passed or failed it, otherwise what's the point of the mandated special re-take to be given visa screen certificates. It was mandated by CGFNS/ICHP that they should pass the special one-time re-take to be able to be given visa screen certificates. If there will no difference from someone passing it or failing it then what's the point of the whole thing? They should had just said from the start to just waive the license and they will give you the visa screen certificates and no need for a mandated special re-take.

Another way of saying or explaining the situation is... why would the nurses from that batch agree and participate w/ the special re-take if they honestly think that they can just simply waive the license and CGFNS/ICHP will give them the VSC. They re-took it, because they already agreed in principle that the only way to be given the VSC is to re-take it and pass it. This is also the reason why the DOLE (Dept. of Labor and Employment) has to give another document/certification coming from them (not from PRC) to certify that a June 2006 passer has took the special exam and passed it. Without that then the nurse will now be forced to waive the license and then re-take the whole exam and be part of another batch once they passed it.

Those June 2006 batch that passed the NLE but did not register may go on and they can use that 'loophole' that they do not have a license to verify and CGFNS/ICHP apparently allows that but if they already registered then they must take the special re-take and pass it to be able to be given the visa screen certification. No way around it or cannot use the 'loophole' anymore.

Don't get yourself in trouble. Some already got themselves in trouble by trying to go around things before and are being considered for revocation of their VSC because of fraud/misrepresentation.

I know what you feel cyanide. But, why not try to take the exam again? You have more than 3 months to study again! Come on! Pull yourself together! There's a reason for everything... I have a friend who failed the NLE but she's very happy! Yep! She's very happy! I wont go over the details why she felt that way....Maybe one of the factors why you failed is because of the pressure on all June 06 retakers... I know you can do it next time...
