Hi, my name is Sheena and I am 17 years old and I'm about to finish my junior year of high school. I'm at the point where I need to be deciding on the college that I want to attend. I have my heart set on going into forensic nursing. I did a term paper on forensic nursing for my anatomy class and as I learned all the components involved I was sure that I could do it. I know that it's a narrow field, and there aren't many jobs for forensic nursing in the US...yet. If anyone knows how I can find my way to becoming a forensic nurse I would love to hear any information. I've been looking on the internet to see what kind of majors I should be looking in, but I feel like I'm getting no where. Please help!!!!

Well. I don't have any info for you but I too have thought about forensic nursing or even working in the morgue. Yes, people give me odd stares but I think it's interesting. Hubby thinks I am so wierd that I get excited when the morgue show comes on...lol. Good luck to you!

If you want to be a forensic nurse, start with nursing. After that, there are graduate programs in forensics.

I was curious too. Here are somethings I found in my search. Sounds like a good certification for any nurse to have.

Is it possible for you to post a piece about what forensic nursing is please? I have no idea what you mean!
The websites I posted in my previous post give some good descriptions of forensic nursing.
