Foreign RN with deficiency in obstetrics

I am a Norwegian Registered Nurse and im currently seeking RN licensure in the state of Georgia. Their Board of Nursing deemed my educational program deficient of hours in obstetrics. Therefore, im told to enroll in and pass a RN course (classroom and clinical components) in obstetrics.

Has anyone any suggestions of one or more facilities that offers such a course in obstetrics-one that actually is directed for foreign nurses with deficiency in obstetrics.

Anyone with the same experiences? If so, how did you go forth?

@Gulachka44 we are in the same boat.pls could you tell me how you overcame this challenge? there are no schools yet in Georgia offereing the remediation course that i know of . your advice will be useful plssss.

I am RN in a foreign country. I applied for RN license in California and I was requested to take mental health to fulfill the requirement. I would be happy if any one provide me information where to apply in San Francisco-bay area.

You can search it up on this website and find universities that offer this courses in CA. There are a lot of people on this forum that have deficiencies for CA state. Look it up.

i think there is Dominican university in sacremeto CA offering deficiency course. i hear there is waiting list so call them and make further inquiries before the fall semester.

Thank you so much for your quick response. I had the information but the university accept only during summer.I need to Waite about a year. I had submitted my application. I am looking schools that accept earlier ( fall or winter semester)
