For those who have taken NCLEX RN

Nursing Students NCLEX

My exam shut off at 75 questions and I thought the exam was fairly easy 😩 I only got 10-15 SATA and a TON of prioritization. I am so worried and anxious, can someone whose taken NCLEX who passed or failed please give me some straight talk.

Not all that great :/ 70% on the predictor which gave me a 95% predictability of passing NCLEX but on the practice Qbank my overall average was 61%

When I took my exam, it ended at 75 questions and had lot of prioritization. I was positive I failed, and worried for two days until I got my results. I found out that I passed! I've heard that a lot of prioritization questions is a good thing. I think it's always hard to tell how you did on the exam. I hope you find out soon!

Not sure if it is true, but I heard that you can go back into Pearson Vue after the exam and try to register to take the test again. If it lets you re-register to take it again you failed it. Like I said not sure if it's true or not because I don't take it until the end of this month.

My school gave us Kaplan for free so I have been using that, and I started Uworld too. From the perspective of someone who passed it are the questions more like Uworld or Kaplan as far as details go. Uworld seems to be very detailed and Kaplan seems a little more broad.

The questions that I got were super straight forward and didn't seem to have the trickery I got from UWORLD but the topics covered I remember from UWORLDs very detailed rationales. That being said part of the reason I worry I failed was that my questions were so straight forwarded and easyish

I hope that it was "easy" for you because you knew it. Fingers crossed that you did it!!!! Thanks for the input about Uworld. I am doing ok on the practice tests, but I know there is more work to do, I am averaging like 55% on the practice exams. When you were studying on Uworld were you doing it by section or random. For instance, when I create a practice test, I pick Adult Health and then all systems and then 75 questions from that. Not sure if I should study one system and be proficient or do all questions randomly. What worked for you?

When I started 2 months ago I did only the systems I knew I needed to focus on but when I got closer to test date about 2 weeks ago I started selecting everything and always 75 questions so it was like a mock NCLEX. Have you came across the 35 page cram sheet going around on here?!? It was soooooo helpful!! I only got through 15 ish pages and I ended up seeing a ton of things from it. Ex) I had forgotten VS for shock, seems easy enough to remember right? Except you have a million other facts on your brain too! Well I read the day before about shock s/s on that sheet & LOW BP HIGH PULSE stuck with me...well there was a priority question with someone having those VSs

I haven't seen the 35 page cram sheet. Where would I find it? Sounds like it was helpful. Yea, it's hard to have all these things rolling around in my head because some things are so similar that it is easy to confuse. I hope it comes together for me soon.

try googling it, maybe "Allnurses NCLEX study guide or cram sheet" if you can't find it send me your email & I'll send it to you :)

What you're talking about is the PVT, or Pearson Vue Trick and it's a game in which you roll the dice with $200. If you try to register again and it doesn't take your money you probably passed. If it takes your money you probably failed but if it takes your money and you passed you just blew $200.

Sounds like you did well! I passed on my 4th try back in October. After 3 failures I found this awesome review here in Ohio where I live. They taught us content and ways to answer the questions that were simple yet very powerful. I had a lot of anxiety when I went in for my 4th try. But as the questions came I did what I learned in my review and it really helped me focus. I got really anxious though when I came up to question 70. My 3rd time testing I failed at 75 questions. But as Lisa, she was the RN who does the review class I went to, told me, that if I got anxious to get up and take a break. So I did and came back and when I went past 75 I was relieved and kept going. It finally cut off around 100 questions and I knew I passed. I got about 20-25 Sata, some teaching, priority, and a few meds. But I did some things I never got on my previous exams. I got 1 EKG, 2 drag and drops, 1 or 2 exhibits, and a few pictures. I then went across the street to where I work (I work in home health and the testing center was right across the street from our office) and told my coworkers. I had my friend who's the DON do the trick for me. When I got the good pop up, I didn't cry, I just smiled. She then had me schedule orientation for case manager training. The next day I got my license number. Our board of nursing now emails and lets you know you passed and gives you your number, it's so cool. Good luck to you and I am pulling for you. I am working as an RN case manager now and I love it!

That would suck..... I had just heard that someone had done it and couldn't register and found out they passed a day later. In Maryland, they usually have results within 2 business days of taking it. That's why I scheduled it on a Tuesday so hopefully, I will know by the weekend. Personally, after waiting in nursing school for grades I am pretty sure I can wait the two days to find out.

I can't find my results anywhere!! :( It's been 48 hrs!! The personvue trick is still not taking my money so maybe a good sign but nothing posted on the VA board of nursing & if I don't see anything today then they surely won't be doing anything over the weekend !

how do you find out if you failed BTW?!
