Hi! I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines. I really decided to join this website because I have so many questions in mind that is bothering me right at this moment. This is regarding my plans of working in Illinois. I will be taking the CGFNS exam this July. In God's grace to pass, I'm planning to take IELTS exam and apply for an NCLEX examination. I would just like to ask an advice from you if what exam should I take first? Is it the IELTS or apply first to NCLEX? And how many months does this application will be approved by the Illinois BON? Because I've heard from my friends that it will took us a couple of months for our application to be approved by the Illinois BON for us to take the NCLEX exam. Is it true? Thanks ahead for your reply... God bless!!!
mode of payment -- bankdraft..
application fee is payable to Continental testing service. i think it's now $79
the fingerprint processing fee is payable to identix. $54
you can send it via courier or through post office. use courier for the safety of your documents...it is faster than through post office.

give the CT-NUR form to PRC.. they will be the one to forward it to CTS... that is, if you already have your license number with you...
How will I apply...I don't know the step by step...
go to http://www.idfpr.com download the application form and read the instructions.. request for a copy of a fingerprnt card
apply for CES and take toefl ibt. then apply to IL

read the instructions there...god bless..
you can pass the application to IL though you havent taken the toefl yet... and the CES.. make sure that the recipients of your toefl results are the CTS and CGFNS/ICHP...
if the results of toefl and ces are already there (CTS), they will determine if you are eligible to sit for an exam
i suggest.. you take the toefl-ibt and apply for CES.. then apply to IL and review for nclex..

hello again!
you can use the link ("email questions about this profession") found in the website: http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/WHO/nurs.asp
and you will probably see this: http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/e_mail/prfgrp09.asp
give your full name, complete mailing address and email address. purpose must be for licensure application for registered professional nurse in the State of Illinois. you can request for an application packet to be mailed to you along with the request for the fingerprint card and instructions for international graduates. wait for 10 to 20 working days for the packet to arrive.
goodluck! :penguin:
