Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to see threads like this and it really sucks to fail. I will be taking this exam in August. Can you guys share with us what your study habits were? What tools you used, how many hours, what you did to retain information, review courses, that sort of thing.
I'm studying everyday right now for about 5-6 hours solid, sometimes more. I went to a review course, and the study stools I use are the Saunders 4th edition including CD, and the NCLEX4000 cd. I read the chapter, do all the questions by section.
I read all the rationales then I go over all the questions I get wrong the next day before I start a new subject.
Sometimes I feel like no matter how much I study my grade will stay the same. They can ask you something a million different ways. I was never good with standardized exams which is why I'm getting nervous.
I wonder if you can crack this exam just by purely studying hard or do you really need to have a level of intellect?

I studied, but i didnt stress out about it. I was never a good test taker in school, and just barely passed every single time.. I think going to a school that had a 99% pass rate for the boards really helpedd... i just did Saunder Q&A review book and the EXAM CRAM question book. I would def know your lab values and ABGS, and math.. when you get in there. It will help you narrow down the questions to two. Just think.. ABC'S and basic safety. Theyre not trying to trick you. Take a deep breath... and go with it. Best of luck to you!

YEAH! They do really trick you with the questions. They put 4 correct answer choice in one question. Now, why is this? Why not just put 3 wrong and 1 right? that makes it easy for us to eliminate the right to the wrong answer RIGHT? Its a BULL...I think.
