Foley cath cares

 I would like to know what other hospitals are doing in regard to foley cath cares; what is being done, how often and how is it documented. I am referring to med-surg units of mostly adult patients. As far as I can tell, when our hospital changed to computer charting, there wasn't anything in the currect program that prompted documenting these cares. I have found that some nurses and aides aren't aware of what 'FOLEY CARES' are except to doument that the foley is intact and draining a certain color of urine. I would really appreciate some feed-back.:p

Here is the link to the Joanna Briggs Institute of Evidence Based Practice - check out what they have to say about catheter care - JBI is hard to refute because of the care they take with thier reviews.
