FNP syllabuses and book names

Hi all, Chamberlain nursing just started their Family Nurse Practitioner program. I have taken some MSN courses online and they have been a little bit challenging, but the courses I'm really concerned about are advanced pathophysiology, advanced pharmacology, and advanced health assessment. Preferable, I would like to look at the syllabus and the book before I take the course. So.... Chamberlain has not held their first advanced patho, pharm, or assessment classes yet. If you have gone to a different school and have taken these advance classes, would someone be willing to send their syllabus and the name of their books to me? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't have the info you are looking for right now, but a friend of mine will be starting the program at Chamberlain in September. She is going to send me the info. When I have it I could pass it on if you would like.

I am have switched over to the his program and start the FNP classes in Nov. One more first year class to go. I will keep ya updated.

Me too. I received an email this morning about the program. I said interesting I wonder how much it costs? I have a friend who is looking to attend an online school for her FNP and she happens to be a graduate of Chamberlain already. I'll have to tell her about this program if she doesn't already know.

Have you already taken NR-504 Leadership & Nursing Practice: Role Development? I'm in that class right now. I talked to the counselor and they said I still have to take NR-510: Leadership and Role Development of the Advance Practice Nurse. They sound almost the same. Even their course description is almost similar. I don't want to take this class again. Do you have to take NR-510 even though you already took NR-504?

I would also like to see the syllabus and book list if you do get it. I am not a Chamberlain student yet...just considering what options are out there for a MSN FNP online program.

Does anyone know if they have certain places (like a list) to choose from for doing the clinical portions for FNP. Or do we just have to cold call places to find a spot. What are you all planning to do as far as finding clinical spots?
