Currently, two organizations certify family nurse practitioners in the United States, ANCC and AANP. I really think having two certifying bodies is a fragmentation in the Consensus Model.

Do you think ANCC and AANP should standardize FNP certification by administering one national examination?

(PS: I take my ANCC board exam next week! :p)

Two competing organizations which claim to be "the" certification for FNPs is extremely absurd!

I passed ANCC last week. It was challenging but I'm glad it's over! Time to apply for an NP position. í ½í¹‚
