Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) - Fall 2022

Hey y’all!! I’m taking prerequisites and I’m hoping to apply by May 2022 Lord willing. I noticed that the previous program started a post and figured why not get one started for the next class. I’ll update this post when I apply and if/when I get accepted.

Thank you!! :)) but yes, we’ve been working towards this goal for the last 7 years so it’s super nice to just be at this point. 
I’m sorry to hear that! Something similar happened to me when I transferred from SSC in Orlando. Some of my humanities courses didn’t transfer correctly and they labeled them as GEE as well. Although, come to find out they just didn’t offer this specific courses. I was fortunate enough to have only taken ENC 1101, PSY, DEP 2004, at my first college and the rest of my pre-reqs I took at FSW. Will they let you know if they’ll accept it as MCB 2010c? Fingers crossed for all of us! I think we’ll make the GPA cut!

I am working full time hours but if I am accepted into the program I'm cutting down to just weekends. The job I am doing will be remote at some point so I am hoping this helps me. From what I have read it is not a good idea to be full time so if you can sacrifice and cut back do it.

Thanks for the info guys! I am an LPN currently and work full time home health visits and will continue you doing so in the program. I have my 3yr old and it’s just us so I have to. I did just get this new job home health and love it the flexibility is why I got it I usually am done by 2pm and start at 10-11am so it’s really not time consuming. I use to do agency 12hr shifts but that’s to much commitment LOL I rather 30min visits and be done so this job will be perfect for school if anything I can go back to agency and just pick up as I please. I’m hoping for anew and hopefully I remember things still far as school LOL kinda sucks to be going right back July will be 2yrs I finished Lpn school and been in school since but will be worth it so just keep swimming LOL.

That’s awesome you’ll be able to do that I just know that’s not always the case for everyone. Especially with the economy the way it is along with inflation, it’s probably really hard to go without any income, or even just one if you have a s/o. 
 

My biggest fear is not getting my first choice (Lee) and having to drive 40+ minutes either way for the other two campuses almost everyday and then clinicals being so early ? like (6:30am) I would just die from lack of sleep LOL.

It will most definitely be worth it in the end! Plus I think you have a really great set up with your new job. Definitely less hours and less commitment but still bringing in the dough. 
 

You’ll be securing a better position for you and your child and that’s awesome!! 
I know for me, I made the mistake of taking my A&P courses super early on like one 2018 ?

So if I am accepted, I plan on doing the crash course Youtube A&P series to brush up on the systems and bones, etc!
