FCCJ SPRING 2010

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I know it is a little early, but anyone plan on applying for FCCJ's spring 2010 program?? If I can get my Nat points up and if I do well in Micro this summer , I will be ready to apply!!!:yeah:Finally!!

Yeah don't feel bad! Counting myself I have encountered a ton of people coming from UNF with C's then switching to FCCJ for nursing. I goofed off my first semester and really never attended class which was stupid! Thank God I got back on track and never looked back :) I applied with 196 points. I'm hoping it will be enough! We will all see soon enough, good luck to everyone!!

Good luck Sarah I believe with 196 you will get it! My guess is that for this term the cutoff is going to be 192.3! LOL Hopefully everyone in this forum gets accepted I just CANNOT WAIT!!!! LOL

I did the same thing Sarah. I rarely went to class my first term. So, I transferred in a C in Psychology and Sociology of all classes  That meant I had to really buckle down and do well in all of the other pre reqs once I transferred to FCCJ! I have my fingers crossed though, for ALL OF US ;)

I know a handful of people who got rejected last term, so I am very anxious. Isn't it November already ? LOL

Psychology and Sociology?!?! Aww man that sucks! But you still manage to get high points!!! I am getting to point where I am beginning to stalk my mailman! LOL hoping and wishing that we get them early like the terms before Summer 2009!

I have my address registered to my parent's home b/c their mailbox is the most reliable. Therefore, I can't stalk the mailman... I have to wait on a call from my dad! I am sure I would be doing the same thing if I had the letter coming to my house ;)

and yes FutureRNMom... Someone should beat me for mediocrity! Those are shoe-in classes for most!

LOL I know how you feel though my first term I end getting dropped from Human Growth and Development, C in AP I, and a B in ENC1101 I slacked so much that semester, got pregnant and then didn't come back to over 2 years later but my first semester back it was straight A's and its been smooth sailing since then! Anyways trying to find a part time job so I can get ready for all these expenses once we get into the program.... this economy SUCKS!!:banghead: Hopefully by the time we graduate we won't have to worry about NOT finding a job

Looks like no letters today :crying2: Is it November yet?

When I went up to FCCJ to turn in my application in person they specifically said 8 weeks :/ I applied for for the fall semester and it took around 8 weeks for everyone to find out. Let's hope they surprise us all and get them out this week. I know things were severly disorganized last semester maybe they solved some past problems for a faster response. Here's to optimism!! :yeah:

Yea I heard the SAME EXACT THING LOL..... I know for the past two semesters they have waited the entire 8 weeks to give out the letters! I am just hoping they finally solved their problems (not lol) and we get to know something by Halloween because that would be freccin awesome! I have researched about every spring term since 2006 and they received their letters within 3 weeks from Oct. 1st, but as someone who posted on this blog who is already in the program said they have a lot of disorganization going on! Oh well keeping my fingers crossed and will continue to STALK my mailman lol

Hey all,

Just starting to check the threads again. I am one of those that did not get in this past Fall. I am an out-of-county applicant, I found out during my waiting for letter time that I was an out-of-county, and I did not have enough points. I had 208.92 and live in Clay. I saw that someone that did get in from Clay had 216. I retook the NAT and I am now applying with 215.96. Hoping that will be enough but I am seriously not counting on it. So in prep for my denial letter again, I retook English and Psych to get A's in those two classes. Like a few of you, I did the "not so bright" thing when I got out of high school. Got a B in English and a C in Psych. Now, 19 years later it came back to bite me. :( I lost 9 points and that would have made the difference and got me into the Fall program. So I paid for my adolescent mess! Here's hoping you all get in! Oh, this past Fall, letters started arriving in Week 7. So you might as well calm down and enjoy the Halloween holidays because you won't see a letter until another 3 weeks. :) If I am wrong then I am happy for everyone! LOL
