Hello! I wanted to create this thread for updates for those applying to FIU's CRNA for Spring 2026!!
MICUrn2021 said:After you submitted your NursingCas application, did they ask for your transcripts again in your FIU account? If so, did you have them mailed or sent electronically?
MICUrn2021 said:It has a to-do list that says I need to send in my transcripts. I emailed them to confirm because I already had my transcripts sent to NursingCas
Does your admissions tab have an active application listed?
imogencardenas said:Same question along these lines - how long after submitting the FIU application did you guys get an email (auto sent, as suggested) with further log-in instructions? I sent the FIU application plus the $30, but it was basically just establishing residency. No other email received.
~6 days later. Check spam/junk maybe? It came from noreply@fiu .... I honestly overlooked it until today and it's super confusing if it's needed yet/if we need to do anything else!
Hi! Replied to all of the fiu questions:
- yes you do get an email some time after with you MyFiu credentials
- yes there will be no applications because that account is created by the admissions department that once your application is received refers your app to the nursing department and if admitted the nursing department will send it back for completion but for now its OK no to show an application I was told
- yes there is a checklist but this is an autogenerated list by the admissions department and once the department of nursing admits you will clear the department specific requirements and update what they got from nursingcas.
Hope this information helps guys, best of luck

Thanks for the information. So for now, we just need to make sure all of our NursingCAS application is complete by the 1st and submit the first part of the FIU application (the basic info), and then they will guide us after that in what else they need? Sounds good to me. I was worried that if FIU was requesting transcripts as well that there would be too much of a delay in getting them sent by Feb 1. One of my schools does not use the instant electronic records and it has taken forever for NursingCAS to acknowledge it has been received.

Same to me! MDC doesn't allow electronic transfer so I had to sit and wait for a long time. FIU told me in person what I wrote, I literally went there and sat for 3 hours in one step office for the requirements LOL

Anytime! Best wishes
