What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing the process of being accepted, waitlisted, or rejected from a program, with some sharing their experiences of receiving alternate list offers. There is also a conversation about the size of the cohort and the possibility of more acceptances from the waitlist before the program starts. Additionally, members are providing updates on when they received offers and the deadlines for responding.

Hello! I wanted to create this thread for updates for those applying to FIU's CRNA for Spring 2026!!

Hello all,

I'm not sure if any of you keep up with the FIU CRNA website but it now says they admit 55 students annually. Anyone know anything about this?

They increased the cohort size from 45 to 55 starting with Cohort 2027 that started this past January. They're still probably interviewing 96 people like last year, so you've got good odds if you got an interview.

I'm sorry. But remember most people don't get in on. Their first try. At least now you know what to improve on for next years application!

I would appreciate any input I can find on this. I'm not asking what the exact details of the interview, but being there for 5.5 hours seems rather intense. If anyone has valuable information on the breakdown of what the day would look like, I would appreciate it. We should expect a CCRN-type exam, some simulations, and EI, but an interview that will take 5.5 hours? I'm just trying to make it make sense.

So the 5.5 hours includes a tour of the building, breaks between the interviews and time to ask current students questions from what I gathered from the past students and an info session. From what was said at information sessions, the interview gives them the chance to evaluate your critical care knowledge, teamwork, emotional intelligence and resiliency in a group setting. They really highlighted AACN knowledge so I think just going over your CCRN material is the best bet to study besides practicing EI questions. You will not find more than this because of the NDA. They are very protective over their interview style so specifics can't be given out.

They sent out a separate email to schedule the campus tour within the two days that the interviews are going to be held, however, the timeframe they gave to choose from didn't fall on any of the four interviews.

Anyone scheduled for thurs afternoon? 🙂 hopefully it goes well for all!

Any scheduled for Friday morning interviews? Would love to connect beforehand!
