I'm sure they'll give us all of this information once we get closer to starting. Generally programs don't require it until you start clinical, which is third semester for us, so we have quite a bit of time.

I know it's a bit early to talk about this, but we are going to pick our clinical site preferences on orientation day, correct? I want to know if anybody has any insights regarding the clinical sites.

You don't pick clinical sites until Summer semester.

We were told this is changing this year. We are going to be assigned a county (Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach) and we will be doing all of our clinicals for the entire program in that county.  When we have our in person orientation in November we are picking our preferences in order of 1-3 and we'll be assigned shortly thereafter it sounds like.

Correct, from what I remember them telling us, we'll put in our preferences for counties on orientation and find out shortly after.

Good to know! Thank you. However, since the first semester is online and we are not required to move until the second semester, how do I know if the city I'm moving to will be closer to the clinical sites since Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade are available? I'm not from these areas.

It's insane at how much they've changed in a year. I'm gonna pm you personally. It sucks completely cause they pair you guys with upperclassmen so we can help but how are we supposed to help when everything is changing 😐. It's like we don't even know what to do or say to help you guys prepare.

That's what I heard from that information video Dr. Miller sent. I hope to be closer to the clinical sites.

We all appreciate your help! It's crazy how much they've changed, but I hope it will be good and convenient for the incoming cohort.

Would you mind pm me as well? I'm just curious!
