Florida Hospital Heartland Division

I've noticed that FL Hosp in Sebring and Lake Placid has several openings for RN's that interest me. However I have heard some negative things about these hospitals in the area. I was wondering if anyone in this community is familiar with Heartland division, most especially if you work or have worked there. I would love to hear other nurse's thoughts. Thanks.

I did practicum in their ICU as well as clinical in peds, OB/L&D and floated to the ER during practicum, I started on Med/Surg in LP and now work in the ER, management is supportive, I've worked ICU as well, I don't want to drive all the way into Sebring during snow bird season and I enjoy the people I work with down here, I have friends in almost all the different units in Heartland and none have ran for the hills yet and we're coming up on 3 yrs :)

I start orientation on 4/22, at Sebring, then will be working in lake placid. I'll be relocating from the Melbourne area. I've been trying to find cheap places to stay for a few weeks until I find a home to rent for when my family joins me at the end of may. Any suggestions ?

I'm having the same thing. My apt in Vero won't be ready until June and my orientation is May 13 but I found an amazing hotel on the beach and not to far from work and is great price with a kitchen all you need for cook but the food of course.

I have to go down Tuesday for the paperwork, physical, etc...so going to scope things out in person. Wish me luck!!!
