I got my list of evaluators to choose from for IPN...any recommendations?
I got LW from Tampa, GR and ST from Gainesville.

Everybody (and I do mean everybody!) seems to get Gainesville as an option. My experience there was that stuff that I never said and did not even have the base hint of truth to it, somehow made it into my eval. If I wasn’t so familiar with these people’s non problem with bending the truth or heck, outright lying, I would say they mixed up mine with some other poor schmuck unfortunate enough to think these ****** actually care. (Spoiler alert: they don’t. It’s all about the Benjamins)I’m not sure who the one in Tampa might be but I have my suspicions. Frankly, I’ve never heard good things about any of this scam’s ‘approved evaluators.’ To be blunt, I think (opinion ahead, you’ve been warned) the ones that are ‘approved’ are the ones that are willing to write whatever crap is necessary to trap a person into a contract and/or treatment (hopefully within a facility/program that said evaluator has a financial interest in.)
Never have I known of anyone who gets out the other side of these so-called evaluations without a ‘recommendation’ of monitoring or more. I’m inclined to believe that IPN is going to do whatever the heck they want to do to suck as much money out of you as possible, while holding your license over your head like a carrot. The only purpose of these stupid ‘evaluations’ is to lend a supposed air of legitimacy to their little scam operation. Your actual needs, mental health or recovery be damned. Your best bet is to go in there, answer thier questions as succinctly as possible. Don’t lie but don’t verbally vomit your life history either. If you admit to having smoked a joint in high school and never again after, you will still be diagnosed with ‘moderate substance abuse disorder’ or some such idiocy. Stick with the facts of the current issue and don’t trust them any further than you can kick them. Good luck.

hello ,
they falsified documentations about me and even diagnosed me with a new diagnosed which doesn't match with my report. Imagine hey said you look happy , but said I have major depressive disorder. My report is only made of lies. Doesn't make sense at all. Stay away from Tampa

Oh so much truth to this, it's so sad! I have had one evaluation from Gainesville over two years ago. Exactly as you said, half her eval were full of lies and statements that I didn't say yet she wrote them as if I did.

You are SPOT ON! Went through the same hell in NJ and I moved to FL, now I am scared they will throw me in the program. IDK what to do
How is this even legal? There has to be something we can do, this scam has been going on for decades now. Should we write to the governor and start a petition? There are absolutely no checks and balances with these programs. This is a problem across the whole country.

I can promise you, the governor does not give 2 hoots about this. The 'protecting the public' BS has been hammered into people for decades. You've heard the cliche 'money talks, BS walks?’ Well, the money talks here. There is nothing wrong with a monitoring program in theory but, in this state and most others, they've become nothing but a cash cow for a few, on the backs of people that simply need some help.

I've been to both Gainesville and Tampa for evaluations. Unfortunately, both places/doctors/evaluators are awful. The worst part is that they can say whatever they want to about you, and there's no recourse to challenge their recommendations. The "evaluations" take place behind closed doors, with just the doctor whose evaluating you there. Upon reflection, I think this probably crosses a huge ethical line in regards to the possibility of being exploited by the evaluator. I have no idea why this hasn't already been challenged. There should always be someone overseeing these,or they should be recorded.
My advice is to request to have a " chaperone" for your own protection and to ensure some sort of accountability on the part of IPN.
