  1. But at least we won't say we went down without a fight. Another nurse posted that changes were made in her institution because of an incident that happened with her at work. Also remember those NY nurses that lost their jobs because they refused to take the covid vaccine, they sued and eventually won their case? They went against big coorporations, and they won! What if we win as well?
  2. Let's get a WhatsApp group going for this... my email is [email protected] 201-988-3971
  3. Thank you. Sounds like the nightmare never ends. I will just never ever get a license in FL and focus on working in NY or TX then. It makes no sense to jump through all the loops.
  4. My advice, from what I've seen is, their evaluation is a JOKE. They will use Anything you say to frame you and give you the longest possible contract. I was honest and got screwed (thinking honesty is the best policy) - Nope, not with those people. I never had a drug/alcohol problem, but because one of the questions was if I ever blacked out or forgot parts while I was drinking, and being ex-military stationed in Germany after a deployment to Iraq, of course I went out with my fellow battle buddies and drank after deployment - That alone apparently made me an alcoholic so DO NOT mention your meds!! See if you can get a new doctor and get your prescription s with a clean story. If they ever ask you "have you ever drank so much that you blacked out? (Even if you did that 20 years ago) the answer is NO. There is no history of any social life with those people. Make your intake make you sound as boring as possible. Say your are active, gym goes, you like hiking, etc. You don't drink or do drugs, specially if you knowny9u don't have a problem. There are a lot of nurses in RAMP that do have a drug/alcohol problem and get triggered when there's someone in ramp that say they don't have a problem, because to them it is impossible to believe that one can go out and have one drink. Don't 3ven bother listening to their demons. You are there to save yourself from the hell that program is. Best wishes!! ?
  5. WOW!! That is so terrible!!
  6. Honestly, that sounds horrible, I've been through NJ RAMP and I don't think I could go through FL IPN which actually sounds even worse. Is moving to another state an option for you? Believe it or not, while I was going through harsh times with the NJBON, I applied for RN license in NY and they gave me a "stayed probation" for 2 years. I was able to work, didn't need to ask for authorization to work or any of that. It was very professional friendly. If moving in an option, I'd say try New York. There are some parts upstate NY that are actually very affordable and it is beautiful out there. Best wishes to you.
  7. OMG did you go to meetings in Bergen County? Because I remember this case from going to the meetings, a lady taking the trash in her apartment complex and got a dui
  8. Yep, I learned that lesson in a very hard way!
  9. When you enter an IPN agreement. Do they make you inactivate your licenses in other states?
  10. They asked me for my prescription because it came up on my urine screen
  11. I have a prior disciplinary action and got accepted in the PMHNP program at University of Texas, it is 100% online
  12. How is this even legal? There has to be something we can do, this scam has been going on for decades now. Should we write to the governor and start a petition? There are absolutely no checks and balances with these programs. This is a problem across the whole country.
  13. You are SPOT ON! Went through the same hell in NJ and I moved to FL, now I am scared they will throw me in the program. IDK what to do
  14. I am so sorry you are going through this. Have you considered moving to another state? I had so many issues with the NJ BON, I moved to Texas and dealt with the Texas BON directly (no TPAPN) and they gave me a one year monitoring program, which was easy since I don't even drink, my license in Texas is unencumbered now. I wish you the best of luck!
