Flight Nurse/Paramedic for Angels of Flight Canada Inc. thru D'Boons Manpower Service

Published

Good day!

I would like to start this conversation with those who also applied as a Flight Nurse/Paramedic for Angels of Flight Canada Inc. like me. I feel unsure if it is legit.

I've learned the opening through Jobstreet website last July 25, 2014 under the company name of Nice Green Consultancy and click the Apply button. I got a text message yesterday (July 28, 2014) stating that there are only 8 slots left for the position of flight nurse and also to check my e-mail for detailed information. The e-mail is 6 pages consisting all the information that I think I needed. I followed the recruitment process which is to call the landline number given to check for slot availability. The man on the other line said that there are 2 slots left and told me to text them my full name for slot reservation. The reservation is temporary and valid for 1 hour unless I paid the said amount for the Seminar.

D'Boons Manpower services is the affiliated consultancy firm of Angels of Flight Canada Inc. here in the Philippines in which who will conduct the said Seminar. I checked at the DOLE website if the said firm is license and legal and yes it is registered.

My question is these:

1. Is D'Boons Manpower allowed to deploy nurses?

It is not registered in the POEA but as what they told me they are consultancy firm that's why they are not in the list of POEA and the visa, work permit will be process by the employer but I'm not really sure if it's true.

2. Why did Angels of Flight Canada Inc. website announced this?

" Please note .July 27, 2014 .

We are currently not hiring any nurses or paramedics for the PHILLIPINES. "

3. are there other nurses/applicant who also followed the process?

I want to have a conversation with someone who also applied for this.

Hi!

Please be aware that (i think) the one posting/offering jobs as flight nurse is using another ambulance company in Canda which is STARS CANADA. They emailed me again the "edited" six pages details regarding the job offered.

They should be stopped!

Going with scam. Read the minimum qualifications for the highly coveted flight nurse & flight medic careers at this not for profit:

http://www.stars.ca/ab/careers/air-medical-crew-requirements.html

And there are no current nursing jobs listed.

hello im a victim also. i paid via lbc.. im getting ready today but ive read this site commenting about angels of flight. so do i need not to there anymore to attend the said seminar?

hello everyone if you send your money via LBC you could check this out by asking the LBC employers whom on duty when you sent the money. they have records there if what ID did the recipient use in claiming the money. U can also check there if what location or branch of the western union or LBC the money was claimed. There are also installed CCTV so you guys cud check it.

My friend also received this message and using the STARS CANADA's name. Using also the same email but edited. tsk!

You're just wasting time if you'll go there. Check the site of Angels of Flight.

This is very helpful but quite dangerous.

they are still sending messages. They are using a different e-mail address this time. They changed the date of the seminar. I received an e-mail this morning. We really need to report this. There will be a lot of victims again. They will keep on doing this over and over again if they will not be caught.

As far as I know, STARS doesn't even use STARS Canada as a name. It's highly promoted provincially (and funded by provincial governments and private donations).

I have a coworker who applies every time there is a vacancy and never gets an interview. So no way are they going offshore.

I am notifying everyone that the alleged recruitment of nurses in the Philippines for Angels of Flight Canada is a scam. When we at Angels of Flight Canada heard of this 'SCAM' on MONDAY July 28, 2014 , the local police, the Canadian antifraud centre that involves International fraud along with the Toronto Canada Consulate for the Philippines were notified . Western Union was contacted and a fraud report completed with them so after that they should not be accepting any payments from nurses in the Philippines. Western Union has been aware of the scam since July 28, has had all of payment details and confirmed with us payments that had already been received. Any nurses who have paid should check with Western Union and use this fraud file number 987232. A notification was also placed on the home page of our website on July 28 Angels of Flight Canada: Medical Tourism, Air & Ground Ambulance. I do hope this clarifies the situation and we will continue to update you or answer questions.

How about those who paid thru LBC express? LBC employees should also be notified.. If anyone in Manila who has time to locate this voter's ID of the person who claimed the money I have sent, please report it to authorities or to ABS CBN. The voter's ID number is 7602-135A. It was claimed at LBC, Robinsons, Paco, Metro Manila.. CCTV footages are also helpful.

I believe this is a SCAM as told by some people who went through the same thing. I encountered this in jobstreet on a different offer and they sent over a very long e-mail attachment (6 pages) about a seminar I should attend to which costs around 3000php. They will tell you about the limited slots but the truth is, there is no such thing because the seminar itself don't exist.

I've come across this job offer too, good thing my head overruled my excitement after realizing that it is too good to be true and contacted the rightful authorities. Yes, it is indeed a scam and worst they now change their name from D'boons manpower services to IBJ Manpower Services, their affiliation from Angels of Flight Canada Inc. to Star Canada. How do i know this? It is because I asked my friend after I received an email to apply to the same job posting in jobstreet and to our surprise they are using a different name, operating on the same scheme. These people really needs to be stop on the other hand we, nurses needs to be wiser.:nurse:
