FIU Nursing 2015

Hey guys! So I'm super nervous about applying to FIU because I don't think my GPA is all that great. :/ I didn't do well my first semester there so that brought my GPA doooown. Currently I have a 3.6 overall and a 3.5 science (which is really bad...I finished all of my science classes last semester). Hopefully by the end of this spring semester my overall will be at a 3.7. I do not have volunteer hours but I have been shadowing at a hospital (which I prefer because I had a bad experience volunteering lol). I'm taking the TEAS at the end of this month and I'm studying super hard for it right now >__<. if you guys have any good study tips on how to do well the teas that would be greatly appreciated too for those already in program or graduated from what think my chances are advice is great thank so much>

I'm in section 1. 7am is very early. I'm also at VA

For anyone you got assigned for VA clinicals, did anyone contact you about doing fingerprinting again .

Has anyone been able to get the flu shot? I've been to various pharmacies and I've been told that they won't have it available until September. Is there any place where it's currently available?

Flu shots are available dying the season . They sent an email saying to hold off on the Glu shots until its available

Do we need a stethoscope? And what kind of shoes do we need, just as long as they're all white?

I got my flu shot at md now urgent care (the one near FIU) and complio accepted it. However, I would've waited if i had known she would give an extension. Shoes are all white, no ventilation holes and all-leather or a material that can't absorb liquid blood etc..

A sams club in coral springs will be getting the flu shot in next week. you can check with some near where you are

Where did you see our textbooks? I would like to get them before our first day but if there are 11 I wonder if we will need all of them.. 11?!!

To see required and recommended textbooks you can go to fiu.bncollege.edu and type in course info It 11 total... I feel like its a website mistake.
