Hey guys! So I just spoke to Christian and he is going to wait until the majority of final transcripts have been received by them before starting the selection process. Also, he confirmed that there are 100 seats, not 80. They changed it back...

Hello everyone!!! My name is Antuan Benitez. I also applied to the Nursing program at FIU, and this wait is driving me crazy. My stats are:

overall gpa: 4.0

science gpa: 4.0

TEAS score: 82 overall and a 93.8 in the science section

Completed hours: 500

I called to the Nursing office, but they told me that until next week they are not going to start sending emails to us. Good luck to everyone

I applied to FIU and then once my application was being reviewed by FIU general admission, I called to follow up. After that I started the NursingCAS application. Did you apply to FIU. General and the nursing program? You are supposed to apply to FIU first. I am an MDC transfer student, that being said, have any of you heard anything riding transcripts? My MDC account has a hold until Friday because of graduation... I can't request my transcript until it's re moved. All graduates have this hold.

Hey Milenia, I am also from MDC and I just graduated. I just noticed the hold on my account today, do you know if they automatically go away on Friday or do we have to go in person?

Hey Lmlez, yes, I called and was told that the hold should be removed by Friday and transcripts should be available by Monday, May 14th. If you want NursingCAS to get it asap, overnight it to them from MDC.

Here is the link with instructions: Transcripts | Miami Dade College (Don't forget to include the NursingCAS Transcript Request Form located on their website under "Colleges Attended").

You also have to send your transcripts to FIU general admissions office, just like when you applied to the program.

Hey I am also a transfer student from MDC. I thought final transcripts are supposed to be sent to the Nursing school and FIU admissions. I was not aware it was supposed to be sent to NursingCAS .

Hey, yea, everything is supposed to go through NursingCAS; that's where our application is. :)

I don't feel confident either. I have moments when I feel like I got this but mostly worried that I have to wait until next year. Did you apply to any other schools?

Nope, I put All of my eggs into FIU.
