FirstLab and vacation

Published

We are going to Disney world at the end of Dec- I have filled out the vacation portion for First Lab. My question is has anyone been tested while on vacation? I am nervous this will disrupt things for my kids if I have to find a testing facility In a totally different state! Any experiences? Thanks!

To think of it I do believe I was tested the day after returning

TXRNC were u tested on vacation?

There are 3 sites in Orlando, so if you get popped it should not be a problem. The only time I let them know I am on vacation is when I leave the USA. Otherwise I check in everyday like normal and I get popped I drop a sample then go about my business. I have never got popped as soon as I got back home. I have been tested while at the beach, but I do not fill out a paper or call them to notify them I am going to fla or the beach, and I have never had any issues.

umm...in Texas you are required to let them know when you are going on vacation.....

Alsoin my state the first time I did that was when firstlab told me I did not need to contact them just find a center and drop a sample if I was selected ever since I go to the beach, fla, wherever I want but when we go to the carribean I send the form in so I do not have to test.

Been doing that now for 3 years come Feb

Same in NC

I just checked this the other day as I'm leaving the state for vacation at the end of the month...in Texas, you are only required to inform if you are leaving the US - so says the FAQ's at Recovery Trek

The way it works here is any place within the state you can just drop in and test and not have to alert the program of your travel plans. However, I live within 20 miles of the Utah border, and my husband's family is in Utah. Soooo either we have to visit them on a weekend when I know I won't need to test, or we have to plan in advance to be excused from testing. It hasn't been too much of an issue but it sure will be nice when we don't have to plan for that anymore.
