Alright guys I started school Monday and its been a crazy week I don't know how the school your attending us but here's what we did....

8 hours of lectures Monday- Thursday

In between lectures we worked on med term

Learned how to do vital signs, assessments & hand hygiene

For the hole first month we will be going over Basic Nursing-asepsis HIPPAA , nurse practice act and so on we will start clinicals next month yea fast the rest of this month we get checked off on bed making bed bath catheters ect

We have a test Monday over 9 chapters and just my advice learn to take your own notes don't just use the notes they give you an read the extra boxes in the chapters

Hah, i started this week too. Pretty much the same course

9 Chapters, test is on monday. Class is 7:45-4:15. Nonstop reading so far.

Specializes in Neurocritical Care.

Thanks for the tips! I worked as a CNA 2 for 2 years so most of that stuff I already know, thankfully! I don't think I will have any issues until I get to med terminology and stuff. I'm already a pro at catheters and critical care things like trach's and wound care. Good luck to all of you!!!

First test down made a 90!! Yay

Congrats!!!! I start in Aug...Im not nervous....I am truly excited and ready to work hard....besides, I took A&P I and II, and Micro....that required a WHOLE LOT OF STUDYING....Im ready! May all of your test be 90 and above....GREAT JOB!!

Hello to all!

I'm starting in August as well. Keep us updated on things to be aware of and your progress. I'm not mentally ready but am preparing myself day by day.

Best of luck to all!

First test down made a 90!! Yay

Good job!!

Its my third week, surprisingly it is going by pretty quickly. I've gotten 85% on both my test, passed all the pop quiz, med term, dosage test.

It's not that bad, just get into the habit of, coming home from school reading and studying. That's what i've been doing for the past few weeks.

MAIN THING - FIND A GOOD STUDY GROUP! Luckily my class is very motivated and friendly, we form study groups day 1 of class already.
