Yes, Info Lit is redundant and pricy! Kinda silly for a 1 credit class but you can do it in a day or two. I haven't found any wrong answers in sg101, they may have all been corrected by now. The instructions say to report any errors, but I haven't had to so far. I m on Life span 1 (rescheduled for June). I hear they have added a lot of select all that apply and order questions to the Transition exam. I didn't have any that I can recall. But chronicity and reproductive did. But I only used the study guide for Transition and didn't buy the books. I did get an A for that one also.

Hello everyone! I just enrolled with Excelsior LPN to RN on May 1,2014. I have been cleared to take Transitions. I can tell you what I have done to prepare for my first exam. First off, I work 48 hrs a week, no children at home, and have been a nurse for 4 years. I have all of my general education classes completed, except Information Literacy. I think its crazy I need that class when I have over 60 hrs of prerequisites finished. I read on here to go ahead and pay for the exam so I will have a dead line. Well, I signed up for the payment plan instead of just paying the 325.00, so now I have to wait. I ordered the wrong book, however I did get the Study Guide 101. I was not going to buy additional NCLEX book since there is over 500 questions on the study guide. I read on a thread that the answers maybe wrong. So I ordered the Saunders NCLEX book. I also bought one of the two required books. I am getting my money back on the wrong book I ordered. I printed off a bunch of flashcards online. I have been reading and reading the chapters. I got to say that nursing theory has been and always will be "dry." I had to go to Starbucks and get the "defibrillator" aka 4 shots of espresso just so I can stay awake. Well, good luck to everyone...Oh yes, I called Excelsior to cancel the payment plan so I can go ahead and schedule it, it is more of a headache to cancel than it would be to just wait for the second payment to hit. GRRRRR. Have a great holiday.
