First semester done- 4.0 cumulative!

Yay!

I wanted to come by here and thank everyone who earlier in the year provided so much help for my questions, and to the one person who prompted me to take A&P I my first semester in college.

I'm very pleased with the results thus far, in fact, I may go for a 4 year degree in biology/biotechnology then go on to nursing school. There are too many sciences I'm interested in, genetics especially.

Again, though, thank you all for your help. It hasn't been easy changing everything in my life to accommodate college, but it's worthwhile (I'm 36) :)

Wish me luck with A&P II!!

6 Classes is up there, that's for sure. I have no intention of doing that many courses again unless I have to. And honestly- the Labs, which are oddly only 1 credit hour, were so much more difficult (in a sense- no direction, just free for all/sink or swim) they ought to have been worth 3 hours. Oh well :)

Spring I'm taking it "easy" and incorporating some creative class I've always wanted to take- Drawing. Between math, English, and A&P 2 it'll be nice to have a class in which I can be expressive. Still, I anticipate at least 6 hours/week for Drawing out of class. Probably more. A&P will easily consume all free time. English the rest.

haha im taking those classes in the spring as well in the spring but i dropped my art class because i am about to work on campus

Wow!!! Congrats!

I didn't take nearly as much classes and got 4.0 (in Microbiology and A&P I) but you rock! way to go!!!

Specializes in School Nursing.

Watch out for those 'Fine Arts' electives. Many expect them to be an easy A class but a lot of teachers like to prove the students wrong. lol I thought my 'music' elective would be a breeze, it was so work intensive I ended up dropping it and taking 'intro to movies' a couple semesters later. The movie class I loved, it wasn't difficult, but a lot of watching movies, taking quizzes, and WRITING. Lots of papers. It was fun though! (Oh, and we had to build a website (group project) on a filmmaker of our choice for the midterm. In terms of pure time, it wasn't the easiest of As, but it wasn't 'hard' either.

Yeah I know 6 classes is a lot!!!!!!!! but I need to take them to be able to graduate :grad: with an AS in only 3 semesters....I guess that I'm in a hurry...lol I'll be taking Chem, A&P2, obviously the labs (which I agree are very difficult, and should worth at least 3 credit hours ;) ) Human Growth and Development, and Speech...the 2 last ones online. I'm going for an Associate in Science, so no art or any other expressive class for me, lol. I hope we all do great. See those Aces in my degree audit was awesome, so I hope to repeat that again. :rckn:
