The only good thing I can say about the first semester of nursing school, is it is a Great weight loss plan! 15 lbs down. Will the stress let up at all second semester? Silly question, I know.

Learning to cope with stress is an essential skill for nurses. This is what Thomas Dewey called "incidental education" -- stuff that affects the learning process, but is not necessarily part of the stated curriculum - LOL. This is an ability that will be valuable as a practicing nurse... so you will be able to remain cool and calm in a crisis situation. So - did I convince you that the stress associated with nursing school is actually a 'bonus'????? No? Well, I tried.
Seriously, just hang in there. We all made it through and so can you!

To me, it didn't. The whole first year is a year of learning lots of material and, even more stressful, a big transition - You're being modeled into a nurse. A health care professional. You are learning to eat, live, breathe what you are doing. It's a huge transition and it's stressful. It does get better though.

Nope, it does not get any easier!! Haha.. the first semester will always be the easiest, until you get to the 2nd year or so maybe 3rd and you get into public health or other areas that don't require a million hours of studying. But don't get discouraged just because it's hard! Nothing easy was ever as fulfilling as something difficult you conquered! :)
