First Nursing Job!!

Published

I graduated from Nursing School (lpn) in April 2012, received license in Sept 2012, and am happy to report that I have finally got my first Nursing Job!!! I've been through so much to get to this point and just want to tell others that are thinking about giving up to keep going!! If you really want it God will see fit for it to happen!!! I've kinda stayed off of AllNurses because of ALL the negativity I see from NURSES toward their own profession. It's good to see something positive especially from someone like me who has hit many road blocks and has had many doors closed in my quest to start my nursing career... There is hope and you WILL find a job as long as you stay consistent, consider ALL options, be flexible, and most of all stay prayed up.. Good luck and God bless you all.

Congrats!!! It's nice to see your journey is on and upwards for you...I am just studying for my teas lol for LPN program by Gods Grace to start in Sept so I have a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGG way to go lol :)

Well there's a lot of people who are NOT negative....

Congrats!!!!! Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing! We knew you could do it.

(had to add a cheesy face)

Specializes in Neonatal and Pediatric ICU Nurse.

Congrats! I graduated in December and I am still having trouble getting a job with no experience. It's been really frustrating, but I am not giving up. I am applying to the ADN program for January 2014 so I hope to get in and continue my education.

Way to go its a good thing to work in a place where you want to be! What type and facility will you be in?

Yea congrats! It took me over a year to find my first job, you just gotta keep pushing

Congratulations!!! :)

That's wonderful! You are a shining example of what hard work and diligence can accomplish. I wouldn't worry too much about negative people in the field, you just gotta ask yourself, if these people are saying it's so bad, why in the hell are they still in the field? There will always be negative people, but the bright side is that there will always be positive people as well. Keeping doing you.

Congratulations!!!

Good for you!!
