Was wondering if anyone had any better knowledge on the matter
But I graduated in NY with my BSN, and have been having rather poor luck with the job search
Ive been considering attempting to try to land my first job in Florida (yes I know the pay is terrible there) since I have family down there, but dont know how difficult it would be considering im a new grad from NY with no experience and a NY license
Any suggestions/advice?
Or would getting a job in florida actually be easier for me, since im noticing many places down there still hire with ADNs

Your current state of license doesn't matter, only that you have passed NCLEX and you have a license. You would go to the FL BoN and enquire about the lead time needed to obtain a FL license by reciprocity. Probably would not take very long.
As to whether hospitals are hiring ADN/ASNs, well, ask them. Call a few and say you're moving there and would like to consider applying to their hospitals, and what does the job market look like for people like you?

All I can say about getting a first job in another state is that it's a pain in the butt!!!! I don't think I can put enough exclamation points behind that. I landed my first job in Georgia and it just seems awful to redo all the paperwork, all the background checks, get fingerprinted again, send stuff to my BON to get them to verify that I'm actually a nurse and send it back to Georgia... it's doable, but it's definitely a pain.
From what I hear about the NY job market, I'm thinking it might be a lot easier for you to find a job in Florida. It's worth a try at least - you don't have anything to lose in just applying.
