Hey Everyone!

SO My first day is right around the corner. Tues Sept 7th, any one else getting the first day jitters? I've been out of school for about 6 years, I did complete cosmetology school, but realized quickly I love doing it on the side not as a career. Im excited to meet all the new peeps, and start digging in...

Out of curiosity what do you all plan on bringing the first day?

first off, congrats on starting the program! i've been in the lpn program since august and like jackie said, it is very challenging! be prepared to do alot of studying because that is the only way you'll make it! also forming study groups with your classmates is also a great step to take. by studying with a group or just with one other person allows to absorb info that they know that you might not and vice versa. it's so much material that has to be learned that reading studying alone may not be too effective (especially when you start pharmacolgy). good luck! and have a happy new year!

You don't need much the first day, pens paper a LARGE binder for all the paperwork. I bought a wheel type book bag which came in handy. I recommend the Littman stethoscope but you really don't need it the first day.

Also, lots of 3x5 cards for studying and note taking.

Good luck, study hard.......................Jackie
