I am teaching in a LPN program and will be welcoming a new class next Monday. I would like to come up with some type of orientation/introduction game or activity to kind of break up the monotony of what will be a long day of sitting and listening for the students. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

You are looking for an icebreaker. Try the Goggle! Good luck!

I agree with the PP. Google Icebreakers. You can specify by the size of your class. If you have a larger group I like to do the whole you are shipwrecked on an island and only have so many items you can take. It gets them thinking critically, gets them working as a team, you get an idea of who your leaders are going to be, and it can be a lot of fun. My last class was all female, and a certain strong male actor was chosen as a tool to bring.. as eye candy and for manual labor. It was a good laugh.
