My first case study is over a 50 year old patient with cirrhosis.
I have to have two nursing care plans but I'm not even really sure where to start or what kind of nursing diagnosis would pertain to cirrhosis.
PLEASE help...
Thanks.

Do you have a book of nursing diagnosis? Did you read up on cirrhosis? I believe you will find that this is a very good case study to start with as the nursing diagnosis are plentiful.
If you still have trouble after your research I would be glad to assist :)

Text Book-Nursing Care Plans by Gulanick/Myers. This book is great. It gives you lots of ideas on which diection you can take. Look up vis Nursing Diagnosis or Disease Process. In fact i just used it to work on my own case study today!

The first care plans are always difficult because you are giving this detailed work up in basically a foreign language to you. The care plan books are great. It may seem like you are just copying what you see in the book and putting it on your plan, and it kind of is at first (make sure you reference). Eventually, you will see the information come together and form your plan (next semester). It will be more than just random diagnosis put together. Be certain your subjective and objective data support the diagnosis you have chosen.
The text book I used in school had care plans with each chapter; check your book too for a reference.
