Just found out that I completed my BSN program this morning! I am so excited and so ready to begin my DNP program in January! Feel free to ask my anything about my program experience:)

Yes, jcnichols, it is possible to finish the RN to BSN in six months. You have way less credits to complete than I did (55 credits). It all depends on how fast you want to finish, your mentor (mine was great, if you get a mentor that tries to hold you back, request a switch ASAP), and how time consuming your job is. I am a home health nurse, so I have plenty of flexibility to do schoolwork around my job. I am doing the same thing with my MSN through WGU, which I started on August 1. Since then, I have completed eighteen credits. I am hoping to finish by the end of the year. My point is, if you desire to finish within a certain time frame, do what you have to do to make it happen. Good luck to you!

thanks for the information! Yes, I just do per diem and will be working only a couple days of my choosing a month for the rest of the year. I hope I can speed through! good luck to you!

as CLUVRN said, it IS still possible to make it in six months, as there are still people doing it. It's not easy to do and requires a great time investment, a great mentor and a lil' luck. :) I would not expect it but be happy if you can do it! Even two terms is an accomplishment and will get you out earlier and cheaper than other programs.
I did 50CU in about half a term, but my BSN was a few years ago so my experience will not be the same as yours.

jcnichols - seems we have things in common. :) About the same number to complete and the same start date. I'm ready to finish up Care of the Older Adult, if my mentor can get her act in gear. I have stats and biochemistry to take, my mentor wants me to wait until like December for biochemistry, but my plan was to be done with all four of my classes by then and moving on to something else. :)
