Hey Guys,
I just took the NCLEX-RN exam yesterday, and finished at 3pm. I had 75 questions, a few less difficult communication questions mixed in with priority, education, lots of select all that apply, a couple pharm, OB, peds, and no med calculations. I'm not sure how many I got correct, but I know that it was at least a handful that I felt 100% about. However, there were also many that I was unsure about--like most people.
I just wanted to hear from those of you who have taken it, particularly in 2016, to see if you have any personal experiences or words of advice during this waiting period. The people in my class who had 75 questions have all passed so far, however I know that is not always the case. I didn't anticipate the 48 hour waiting period to be so difficult! I just wanted to give my friends/family/classmates a break from hearing me analyze my test! : )
Thanks for your help!

I took the NCLEX last Wednesday. I had 75 questions and like you felt certain about only a handful. I felt all my questions were extremely difficult with only a few simple ones thrown in that I felt sure about. During the exam I had a horrible sinking feeling and left truly unsure if I would pass. I was hopeful but truly worried...I knew most people leave feeling like they failed. I felt there was a chance I had failed! I never felt that way in nursing school. I could always gauge how I did on the exam and never failed an exam making mostly A's.
I had no med calculations (which I wanted because those are concrete) or alternate style questions at all and almost every other question was a SATA. I had a lot of pharm questions over drugs I never heard of and several questions over disease processes which I was completely unfamiliar with.
I passed!

Good morning! I have moved your post to the NCLEX forum. :)
Thank you so much for this! Our testing experience and experience as students sounds very similar, which is reassuring. I just need to chill for the next 27 hours or so! : )
My NCLEX cut off at 75, after less than 40 minutes of testing. I felt awesome at first, then wondered if I blew it. I didn't. :) But I was a complete waste of oxygen from Wednesday afternoon until my name showed up in the state database on Friday morning, and the state where I lived at the time doesn't do quick results. Good luck!!
This is exactly how I felt. Walking out, I felt relief and excitement. Then when as soon as I got in the car and got home, the excitement wore off and I began to analyze every single question I could remember!
Update: I passed!!
Congrats!

I took my NCLEX Wednesday in PA and paid for the quick results. It said that I unfortunately did not pass but my graduate nurse temp permit is still active on the site any idea why it hasn't been pulled yet?
Quick results are quicker than the board receiving the info.
