I'm a registered nurse from the Philippines and I'm currently waiting for my letter of eligibility from NY BON. I'm helping my sister in her Texas application. Credentialing via ERES. I understand that Texas BON do not require a Social Sec Num upon application. You can apply via paper application. However, it clearly stated that you need to write your SSN in the fingerprint card. How do you go about this? Thank you :)
hi! im applying for nclex-ca and they also need ssn. im also from the phils. how do i go abt it?thanks!
You obtain citizenship, permanent residency status, or a valid work visa which gives you the ability to obtain a SSN otherwise automatic reject by CABRN with no refund of fees paid. There is no loophole.
Back to the OP's concerns, TX will allow to take the NCLEX-RN without a SSN, but TX will not allow the issuance of the nursing license until one provides the BON with a valid work authorized SSN, there lies in the "catch".
Sorry, but that is incorrect
Texas BON will issue a licenses with social security number given by the Social Security Office.

What? You're trying to paraphrase the same thing. I said...."until one provides the BON with a valid work authorized SSN..." which means the same as the Social Security office.
You should INCLUDE the whole comment rather than picking out certain mentions and not take out of context.
They have pseudo Social Security number they will give you to use on the application. Texas BON will give you that number
Did you read my comment (#5), it's NOT a fake or pseudo SSN, they may call it that for lack for better wording. It's merely assigned numbers not associated with the Social Security system, think of it as an application tracking number.

Texas BON does not care if you "Valid Work Authorized SSN" or not. They only care if you have Social Security Number.
Understand?
